A Better Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After trying unsuccessfully to get our E-mail working last night the next chore I had to do was go to bed. On Tuesday night that wasn’t a problem and on Wednesday I was already in bed after the surgery. Last night however was the first night trying to lie down in a normal bed without reopening the incision. If you have ever watched a dog circling their bed before they lie down that would have been similar to what I had to do. First I had to kneel on the bed before sitting then finally laying down for the night.
After waking only twice through the night I was awake by 7:00 this morning and feeling fairly rested. The more I move the better I feel and I have to keep reminding myself not to do certain things or to lift anything too heavy. The one thing that I have noticed that for the last two days I have not felt sick to my stomach which was once a feeling that had become a normal feeling to me for the last year.
Once we finished our breakfast of bagels and coffee I headed back to the phone to try to get the issue of our lost E-mails resolved. For the second time in just over a year we have ended up with new E-mails and not by our choosing. By having an internet provider that has both a DSL system and a Wireless system on the market the costumer becomes the loser. The two different parts of the company are like children who don’t want to share their toys even though they have outgrown them. I spent the next two hours creating G-mail accounts for the both of us. We can now have the same address for our PC’s as our laptops thus eliminating unnecessary duplication and extra passwords.
Sun Parlour Trailer called to say the last of the parts had come in to repair the trailer so they would be starting it first thing on Monday. Our friends Kathie and Ross were going to come over for a visit also called to cancel as their daughter Christine had to work over tonight so they had to meet their grandson Liam at the school bus.
Melissa our daughter-in law was working a late shift today and since she wasn’t home when we stopped in at the house on Monday she used her lunch hour today to come over for a short visit. We always enjoy our visits even though this was a short one.
We worked on the computers after she left and we didn’t feel like cooking tonight so we headed over to the A&W over on Manning Road. We used a discount coupon which allowed the two of us to eat for just over nine dollars.
Back at the apartment I started a coughing jag that gave me not only a sore throat but caused pulling on the incision and seemed to last forever. Needless to say I was seeing stars even though the sun was still out. Here’s hoping that with each passing day things will start to feel better. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

An eleven year study of 10,000 office workers in London found that rates of angina, nonfatal heart attacks, and death from heart-related conditions was 60 percent higher in people who worked at least three hours beyond "the normal, seven-hour day" compared with those who didn't work that amount of overtime. So two questions: Can we conclude that overtime leads to heart disease? And what's "normal" about a seven-hour work day?
