Relaxing Exploration Day

Our Location Today is Thermopolis, Wyoming, U.S.A.

What the heck is happening? Since Monday night we have all slept like rocks in the trailer. It certainly can’t have anything to do with the warm mineral spring pool that we’ve been soaking in for hours at a time throughout the day. It would make people think it’s like the warm baths our mothers would give us before putting us to bed as a baby. The warming comfort of the water takes away all the aches and pains that life has given to us with the passage of time.
Now we have to come back to reality that life also includes the need to do chores. Bill had the hard job of going back to the pool for a morning soak. With a gathering of our dirty clothes Kathy and Vera chose to do the laundry today. I carried it over to the park laundry room and went back to the trailer to continue the fight with the poor WiFi.
After first writing the post on a Word document then being able to connect to the internet I copied and pasted to the post. Now the struggle of uploading the pictures came next where the connection would stop in the middle of the process many times. Once the pictures and the post were complete the challenge of publishing would take numerous attempts.
After having won the challenge I completed a few minor repairs that all Rvers are faced with. I continued outside cleaning the truck’s windows. After yesterday’s wind storm the windows looked like someone had put mud pies on them so they needed a lot of attention.
Once the windows were clean and the engine fluids checked it was time to head back to the laundry room to haul back the finished laundry. Kathy and Vera were just finishing off so I went to get Bill out of the pool. The plan was to go in town for lunch and explore what was available.
After having lunch at a quaint café we searched to find a Laundromat in town as Kathy and Vera agreed the parks laundry left a lot to be desired. The local Ace Hardware was the next find to replace some poorly designed latches in the trailer.
Bill and Vera had expressed concern how things had really changed in the fifteen years since they were last here. Stopping at the local Ice Cream shop we spotted this T-shirt that put it all in prospective.
We headed back to the trailer with hopes of getting in another warm dip in the pool before supper. That lasted for five minutes until the clouds moved in and the Lightening started. The park staff came out to get everyone out of the pool faster than the next flash came across the sky. The wind picked up again and we received enough rain to dampen the dust but the biggest part of the storm was the lightening.
Back in the trailer we enjoyed nice lobster salad that Kathy created. Looking out the dining table window we watched as the skies cleared and the only thing above us was the sun. It didn’t take us long to be back in our swimsuits and enjoying the warmth of the hot springs. The bright sunlight attracted almost everyone from the park to the pool. After two hours of socializing with complete strangers we called it a night and headed to the trailer for a refreshing shower and sweet dreams.

Thanks for following our adventures. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. That Fountain of Youth water seems to be working. I sure hope one of you stays old enough to drive everyone home.

  2. Sounds like you're having a good vacation. I could use some hot springs to soak in right now.
