It's Addictive!

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

I tossed a bit  last night but made up for it by sleeping later this morning. When I opened my eyes Kathy was laying there smiling at me. That was strange because I'm normally up way ahead of her but not today. That new mattress is getting addictive.

Because the weather was not too promising and had already watered the grass around the apartment we decided to head out the door on a special errand after breakfast. We had read that the Antiques Road Show was in town this week and more out of curiousity we wanted to check it out. It was far from the shows seen on television and the label was not the same when you walked inside the door. We didn't walk out with any knowledge of hidden treasures in our household but the realization that this was a company that was out to buy valuables from you at pennies on the dollar and only if they thought there was a market for it at this time.

Since the weather was still so uninviting we headed over to the Devonshire Mall to do some walking and people watching. Because of the time we had Lemon Chicken and Rice with Vegetables for lunch at the food court. It was tasty enough but because Kathy has to watch her sugar and carbs I inherited most of her rice. Now our walk around the mall had a dual purpose of excercise and walking off lunch.

By the time we got back home we could hear our new mattress calling our names. See I told you it was getting addictive! To avoid over napping we sat in our recliners in the living room. Napping was supposed to be the word. Kathy napped for a half hour while I slept for over an hour. It must be our bodies trying to catch-up on the sleep we didn't get the last couple of months. It sure is comfy.

After supper we headed over to visit with our friends Kathie and Ross at their apartment. Ross was home from Godrich where he is still on guard duty at the Sifto Salt Mines that was damagd during a tornado last year. It looks like the job will be winding up there soon and he'll be transferred to other posts closer to home.

Once we got home it was time to catch up on the blogs we follow and start writing this post. We also scheduled what projects we will be working on every day so that we will have all our work done before we hit the road in 49 days. That means it is only 66 days before the start of Summer. We're hearing that mattress calling our names again. I told you it was addictive! Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

  1. What kind of mattress did you buy? I have a terrible time sleeping on ours.
