I don’t know how that happen but I will take it. After spending barely more than an Hour in my Recliner last night, I finished the night off with just under Seven Hours in Bed. The big differences were that Kathy wore her CPAP Mask the entire night, did not talk in her sleep and never got out of Bed once. That’s a good night, if I do say so myself.
Though I was in the process of getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy came out to join me, we sat talking for well over an Hour before even eating.
We were just having our Coffees at our Computers, when our daughter Karen called wanting to know how Kathy was doing. She tried going to the Accident Reporting Station in Windsor to report the accident, but due to the location it happened, has to travel Fifteen Miles to the OPP Station just off Highway 401, because it happened within their jurisdiction.
With
the need to run errands today, the first place we headed was to
Wendy’s
to have a
late lunch.
There were other Seniors
just head of me at the counter and I was surprised how much they were
paying for so little. When the server walked away, I
told
them of a Father
with his Children,
had
told me that
he could not afford to take them to any of the other Fast-Food Outlets.
I
explained what they could change things
when
ordering their food and save money as well. They did not know
Senior’s
Coffees
or Senior’s
Soft
Drinks
were Free.
They did not know that when the Coupon
says Spicy
that you don’t have to have Spicy.
They also did not know you could substitute Side
Salads,
Chili
or Chili
Cheese Nachos
instead of French
Fries.
They all stared at our tray of food in disbelief after I told them
the price. They all stopped by our table as they were leaving,
thanking me for the information. It’s nice to give people useful
advice. Kathy
just smiled and waved.
Since
there had been no Mail
waiting for us at Guardian
Storage
last weekend and we had not been back all this
week,
it was no Surprise
that I had to pull it out, one piece at a time. The Postman must have
jammed it into the Box.
Needing to do some shopping, the first place we went to was Dollarama. When I told Kathy it was only for Breakfast Juice, she waited in the Car with the windows down, taking advantage of the Breeze.
Next, we stopped at Zehr’s grocery store for a mix of food stocks. Even though prices are normally inflated for our Canadian Long Weekends, we found most of the items on our Shopping List at reduced prices.
Back at our building, we used our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart to bring everything up to our Apartment. The problem was the load was so heavy, I had a hard time pushing it from the parking lot. It did not help, that when we walked into our Apartment we started sweating and had to open the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window to cool down. Our thermostats are turned off, and the outside temperature was 70 F (21 C) but the idiots in Toronto had our heat cranked.
After putting on my Shorts to cool down, I put away the Frozen Foods before needing to stop. I’ll need to repackage the Chicken and Salmon into smaller packages. At least our Fridge will keep it cold enough until morning.
With everything else put way, we watched the “6 o’clock Local News”. According to the Weather Guesser could see some wet weather for the next week but the temperatures will be almost Summer-Like.
We later watched a few episodes of “Law and Order, Special Crime”.
That was a good day, if I do say so myself. Tomorrow will be a busy day.
