Good Night, Good Walk and Big Bang.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Though my night was split between my Recliner and Bed the later won out. It was shortly after 8:00 that I started mixing up the ingredients for breakfast, but I waited until it was warming in the Frying Pan before waking Kathy. She had barely removed her CPAP Mask when she asked what was cooking. I had already served her Banana/Chocolate Chip Pancakes, topped with Butter, Maple Syrup and Fresh Blueberries. I passed on the Chocolate Chips.

With Kathy saying that her legs continue to bother her, I mentioned they didn’t when we had been walking. After checking The Weather Network I gave her information that had her rethinking all her excuses. Even though this is still Spring, our region was expecting Summer-Like Temperatures this afternoon. Our Feel Like or as we call it Humidex would later reach 95 F (35 C).

After convincing Kathy to wear her Capris to stay cooler, the next issue was for her to leave her Ten Pound Purse behind, even though I would carry her Phone and Health Card in my pockets. Eventually, we were headed out the back entrance, where it was said to be too Hot and Windy in the same sentence.

The City had been digging next to the Ganatchio Trail this past week, so we got to be Sidewalk Inspectors. After not walking for nearly Two Weeks, I kept the walk short so maybe we will be back at it this week. When we reached the Park about a Quarter Mile down the Trail, we sat on a bench to allow Kathy some rest time. I let her choose which way we would head back home. Surprisingly, she chose the path to the Sidewalk next to Riverside Drive. By the time we reached the rear driveway to our building, Kathy was starting to feel tired, but hey, look at the Boats on the Detroit River. We crossed the Drive and took advantage of the small Viewing Park so close to home. There were Kayaks and Canoes between the shore and Peche Island. There were people taking advantage of the nice weather by having picnics away from the mainstream. Further down river there were personal watercraft filled with Fisherman trying their luck, while relaxing.

Lunch was Cookies to tide us over until supper. It was cool enough in the Apartment by simple opening the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window.

I had to repackage some Salmon Fillets and Boneless Chicken Breasts we purchased on Friday. When I took them out of the Fridge they were extremely Cold, just not Frozen. The fact that I use a Permanent Marker to add the Date the bags along with What is in the Package, helps me to use the older stock first. It also helped to determine what we would be having for tonight’s supper.

We enjoyed the Grilled Salmon Fillets, Sauteed Potato Slices and Green Peas for a side, for supper. We also enjoyed a small dish of Frozen Yogurt for dessert.

Since this our Canadian Long Weekend, after watching a couple episodes of “Criminal Minds” we needed to shut the Balcony Door in order to hear over the personal Fireworks going off in the adjoining neighbourhood.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring except Warmer Temperatures and Thunderstorms, but we will not stay at home.
