Being On Time.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

If there is one thing I pride myself on is, when I say I’ll be someplace on time, I’m there. This morning it was past 5:00 when Mile showed up apologizing for Sleeping In.

As soon as I could, the Burner was heating the Bearing Area on this Ten Inch Feedscrew that has been a nightmare to us for so long. This Bearing Cracked when Mile kept the shipping door open for Fifteen Minutes, back in February. When it was rebuilt last week, part of it Soft even though the Hard-Surfacing Material came from Two Identical Containers.

The “Begin to Weld” button was hit at 6:00, first to edge the pocket, then restarted Twenty Minutes later to finish the Bearing Area itself. The only problem the PTA caused today was trying to bury the Torch into the weld Material. It ran flawlessly for nearly Four Hours. Then it took nearly Two Hours just to build the Pocket Area of the Bearing. Those were all short welds needed to fill in a critical area. I was burying the Screw in the Sandbox by 12:20, just on time for me to leave.

One thing I seem to have a problem with in the last year is my Phone. If it is set to charge overnight, it sometimes gets left behind in the morning. Not good for a busy day like today. Vic loaned me his Phone, to call mine. That shocked Kathy because she thought I had my Phone at work. She then knew I was on my way.

On Friday we made an appointment to see our Optometrist for 2:00 this afternoon. After paying for the parking we arrived with Fifteen Minutes to spare. The receptionist said we were late and the doctor waited Twenty Minutes for us before leaving. Being as tired as I was (getting up before 4:00) I simply walked out.

After seeing a flyer for Princess Auto last week, we headed over to purchase a 12 Volt Vent Fan for our Trailer. This one will fit under the Vent Cover and help cool things down when we are “Off the Grid”.

By the time we dropped it off at the Trailer at Guardian Storage, I was really starting to feel tired.

We stopped at Zehr’s grocery store to get the food stocks that were not on our List last week, along with a few others.

Smoke from Wildfires in Northern Canada filling the sky.

Back at our building we met another Tenant that had their License Plates stolen from their car. They thought there were Security Cameras, like we had, but found out different. Their Plates were used in the Commission of a Crime and are now evidence in a case.

Cooler than last week.

We both struggled to stay awake after we got inside. The 6 o’clock Local News explained the Haziness we were experiencing was caused by all the Wildfires happening across Canada. This is the worst year on record.

We finally had a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Hawaiian Pizza for supper. From our Freezer to our Plate it only took Fifteen Minutes.

Back to a normal day tomorrow.

What do you call a musician with problems?

A trebled man.

  1. Doctor appointments can be frustrating. Yesterday Len had to see a surgeon regarding his back. Appointment was at 10 am. He finally saw us at 1 pm. WAIT OF THREE HOURS! If it wasn't so important, we, too, would have left.
