Our Location today is La Posa South
LTVA, Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.
We must have breathed in
more Fresh Air yesterday because we
slept until nearly 8:00 MST this morning.
Even though the sun was shining it kept itself hidden behind a bank of clouds
until after 10:00 when it started peaking through the openings. It seems that
with all the Cloudy, Windy days we’ve had recently just the
sight of such a thing makes you feel like burying yourself inside. When the Sun started taking over the sky that
was my sign to get out and accomplish something.
Kathy was already busy
balancing our Bank Accounts making
certain someone else wasn’t adding to our diminishing bottom line. Even though
there seemed to be no discrepancies she still had to allow for the exchange between
the U.S and Canadian Dollar Values.
Even at 10:00 this morning if
I was on the shady side of the trailer I would need to wear a sweater and since
I wanted to straighten the Mess I’d
created in the Basement the only
logical thing was to work on the south side and use the Tailgate as a Workbench.
Since all the RVs that were parked between our old
neighbour Wayne and ourselves finished pulling out this morning as soon as he
saw I was working outside he had to come over for a short visit. He helped lift
my spirits when they were down the other day even though he doesn’t know it so I
don’t mind his short visits. Even though he has lived in Washington State all his life we were in Similar Occupations so in that respect we seem to talk the same
language. We also exchange ideas which helps me to think of easier ways to
enjoy our Fulltime Lifestyle while I
can see Wayne deep in thought as I explain some of the things I have made to
make things easier for us.
I did manage to clean out
the backseat of the truck and get things stored the way they are supposed to
which means for the first time in a month we can have passengers travelling
with us.
When Kathy finished Balancing the Books she decided a Second Breakfast would make the perfect
Lunch and she was right. The Eggs on Toast with some Fried Ham with Orange Slices as a side was perfect and it didn’t leave us overly
full.
Feeling refreshed I started
sorting Things I had packed in the basement just before we left McGregor in
November. Since I had only been able to work on the trailer when the weather
permitted I didn’t have the chance to properly organize Things that I was bringing. There are Things that should have been brought while other Things should have been left behind. Then
there were Things we purchased along
the way and if they weren’t installed on the outside of the trailer they were
added to the basement.
Kathy came outside around
2:00 so we put the awning out and because we are facing the Sun we also installed our New
Sunshade. It’s a darker brown and even though we could see through it the
temperature under the awning seemed to drop by about Twenty Degrees.
Since Melinda had a Bad
Headache just Gerry and Tucker came over for Happy Hour this afternoon. We sat in the shade comfortably and
talked more of our travels as well as what we were doing technically to our
trailers all while being entertained by Tucker’s
Antics. Before we knew it the sun was cooling down so that was our signal
to say “See You Tomorrow”.
While Kathy busied herself
making Toasted Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwiches
for supper I had to repack Things into the basement but at least it’s a little
more organized then before. We also received a phone call saying our Twenty-Five Foot Coaxial Cable with SMA
Connectors had been delivered so we’ll be going to Blythe to pick that up tomorrow.
We’ve other things to do as well before going out to the Yacht Club for Dinner. Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your blog very much.

Gotta love that fresh air!
ReplyDeleteThe basement is something we have been avoiding. Tom tried to some degree when we were in Florida but we both know it needs to be re-done. By the time we get home in May we will have a better idea what we need and do not need.
ReplyDeleteYou sound a lot like my dad he never sat still for very long...doing or puttering, as he called it, was his idea of relaxing.
Sounds like you and Kathy are enjoying your time in the desert.
Breakfast at anytime is a great choice!!
