Another Cover-Up And A Celebration.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Last night we once again were asleep before our heads hit the pillows. It had been a busy day with a little fresh air thrown in for good measure. Of course having some of the windows open helped to make us rest more comfortably even though the temperature actually dipped below 59 F (15 C) making it inviting enough to just stay in bed to cuddle after waking this morning. We’ve been so busy lately that we haven’t been able to enjoy such a simple pleasure.
This little guy came to visit this afternoon. Looked like a
Red-Headed Sparrow. Too small for a Female Cardinal. Any Ideas?
With the patio being slightly damp I played gardener for a short while before climbing back on the trailer thus allowing the sun to dry the morning dew from the roof. The plan was to get the second coating of Stay Kool on the roof but I wanted to add a twist to it. When I added the first coating layer I’d removed out Max-Air vent covers but not the bracketing. This morning I remedied the situation by removing the brackets and cleaning the dirt that had been hidden underneath. Other parts of the roof also needed to be wiped down as natures creations had left their calling cards to remind us we are still in their domain.
Kevin's cake decorating skills have greatly improved.
Kathy made her Tomato/Cheddar Soup for lunch which really hit the spot and was actually refreshing.
The See-Food Table.
With so many obstacles now removed it took just under two hours to add a second layer of the roof coating Stay Kool to the entire trailer. The first place I added the coating was by the roof ladder then worked my way forward doing only half the roof. After reaching the front I worked my way back until I had finished both sides of the roof and was standing on the already dry roof in front of the ladder.
Matthew, proud of his new Canadian T Shirt.
Mom Melissa by his side.
Kathy then brought out the tree ornaments that we wanted to add to the trees on our site. This will not keep the birds away but will stop them from making nests in them. That will help us in our bid to keep the patio and our vehicles the colours they were meant to be.
Just have to sweeten these kids up.
After freshening up we were on our way to Amherstburg where we helped his family and other grandparents Al and Sal to celebrate our grandson Matthew’s Fourteenth birthday. It almost seems like just yesterday when he was born. In the last five years we’ve seen him develop into a fine young man. He liked all his gifts and really liked the fact that his savings account got a healthy boost. Of course Kevin and Melissa were the perfect host. Kevin made the Birthday cake and has really started to hone his skills. Melissa made certain there was every imaginable finger food available on her See-Food table. If anyone went away hungry it was their own fault. There were plenty of tales told and laughter shared but reluctantly it was soon time to head for Home. Not to worry because we’ll be seeing them all again on Monday for Matthew’s graduation from Elementary School.
Matthew's bank account just got a boost.
By the time we got to Wildwood Golf and RV Park the Transient Section was almost full and there were plenty of campfires going to celebrate the arrival of the Weekend. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
