Making The To-Do List Smaller.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Sleeping like a rock is something I could really get used to. In fact when that happens I wake up totally refreshed and raring to go before 7:00 in the morning. I’d finished my computer reading and started making breakfast by 8:30 when Kathy finally got up.

We had more chores on our to-do list for today. Shortly after breakfast I was out the door with some supplies and headed for Canadian Tire for others that we’ve run out of. When we first moved into the apartment the management allowed tenants to wash their vehicles on site. When we had a change of manager that all ended but now that the building has been sold there have been signs posted that the practice is no longer allowed. The last few weeks the dust in the air and the rain we have received has made it look like we’ve been off-roading with both our vehicles. After leaving Canadian Tire I stopped at a nearby Do-it-yourself car wash. It took well over an hour from the time I started washing the car to wiping it dry and vacuuming it out.

It was past lunchtime before I got back to the apartment. Kathy had managed to vacuum and dust the entire apartment during the time I’d been gone. While I went downstairs to check for mail she managed to get our lunch ready. After eating I went back outside to clean the inside of the car windows and was shocked at how much dust and leaves had already fallen all over the car. It barely looked like I’d washed it. Later as we were about to go out the dust that had fallen earlier on the car had been blown off by the slight breeze that we’d had leaving the car was once again clean.

We drove across town to visit with our friends Vera and Bill. Earlier this summer Bill had fallen and struck his head on a cement curb which caused bleeding on the brain. After having had surgery to correct the problem it appeared like he’d had a minor stroke and Kathy and I weren’t sure he was going to make it. He was transferred to a Rehabilitation facility where he is slowly but surely improving. We visited with both Bill and Vera for close to two hours before saying our goodbyes. We saw a dramatic improvement in his condition and will be going back to see him again soon.

It was past 7:00 by the time we left and we were feeling the effects of not having eaten our supper. Right around the corner was a Taco Bell where we soon satisfied our cravings. Tomorrow we’ll continue making progress as we prepare to start our Fulltiming adventure next spring. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
