Adjusting Our Plans

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

I was lucky enough to sleep fairly well last night. Kathy on the other hand developed so much congestion after laying down for the night that she could barely breathe let alone sleep. She’d later tell me it was nearly 5:00 in the morning before she finally got back to sleep.

I’d already watched the forecast for our area on the Weather Network and started my morning reading on the computers by the time Kathy got up. Even having breakfast seemed a chore just trying to breathe and eat at the same time for her.

Instead of working outside on the truck or trailer we spent the remainder of the morning reading and researching on the computers. I went to check on the mail and was pleasantly surprised to find some in our mailbox for the first time in over a week.

This afternoon after checking the pantry and fridge we headed out to run a couple of errands. The first stop was to the Credit Union to do some banking. We then went to the Zehrs Grocery Store to fill our shopping list we’d made earlier. We spent extra time reading the nutritional labels on some of the foods before we made our purchases. If we are going to be serious about losing weight we have to be more cautious of what we are eating.

It was past 4:00 by the time we had everything put away back at the apartment so I fired up the Weber Q to grill some nice Spare Ribs we’d just purchased. Kathy also made a wonderful Greek Salad to go with it. Supper tasted great and we were well satisfied.

With the dishes all washed I was on the phone ordering a new handle for the lid of our Weber Q. For some reason the inserts in the handle have pulled out and even Gorilla Glue won’t hold it together.

We really had to change our plans around this week and tomorrow will be a great example of that. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Eating healthy and proper portions, along with exercise sure makes for feeling better and lighter on our feet.
Check the nutritional value of fast foods, we try to avoid them too.
