Flip-Flopping Weather Chore Day.

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

After surviving our second hard freeze since arriving here at Rock Crusher RV Park Kathy and I lazed about for a bit this morning before venturing outside. The temperature for the day was at its highest this morning because there was no breeze until after lunch.
Kathy had busied herself in the kitchen this morning making Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and boiling some eggs that she can quickly make into egg-salad sandwiches when she is short of time.
I headed outside to reconnect the water hose and filter as well as topping off the fresh water tank so we’ll be ready for Tuesday and Wednesday when again the night time lows will be below freezing.
I had just completed that chore when Kathy told me lunch was ready. What better way to warm up on a cold winter’s day then a nice hot bowl of Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup with Cheese and Crackers on the side. While we were enjoying our tasty lunch the skies opened up for a quick rainfall that lasted less than a minute but kept repeating this pattern for the next two hours.
Once the rain stopped and the sun came out I was able to find the tools that I needed to mount our shopping bag recycling holder. Our store bought one kept falling apart so now we know this one will last the life of the trailer.
The brown tube in the corner is our new Used Shopping Bag Dispenser.

My next job was to replace the faucet that was damaged when the trailer was winterized and they reefed the valve shut. The faucet in the rear bathroom was extremely stubborn and the water lines would not release. Finally I tightened them more and they released. For a job that should have taken five minutes it took nearly an hour. Once I knew it was leak free I decided now was as good a time as any other to change the front bathroom sink as well. Even with a bit of difficulty reconnecting the water lines that faucet took less than ten minutes.

While I was working inside Kathy took advantage of the warm sunshine and sat outside for some fresh air until the cold wind started blowing. She tried her jacket over her shoulders and a blanket on her knees but too soon she had to retreat inside the trailer just as I started grilling a couple of burgers for our supper. With the salad Kathy made as a side it was a filling meal.

Kathy and I would like to welcome Cheri as the newest follower to our blog post. Dashing to Disheveled

Men's dressing standards suffer with each passing weekday, according to a survey of 1,000 customers by retail chain, Debenhems. They take 28 minutes getting ready for work on Mondays, half that on Tuesday and 11 minutes for the rest of the week

  1. Any homemade soup sounds good to me!

HAHAHA...Kathy looks like she is in Alaska instead of Florida. Hope it warms up for y'all.

  2. Faced with sub zero temps coming again this week, I think sitting in Kathy's chair with a blanket on is just PERFECT!
