Busy Doctor Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy managed to get a bit more sleep last night but as soon as she sensed my absence this morning she was up. Myself I was awake on and off throughout the night only getting sporadic bits of sleep again but was still up at a decent time. When we arose this morning it was not due to sunlight finding its way into our apartment. Upon opening the curtains we were greeted with the sight of rain racing past our windows in waves. The warm enjoyable weather of yesterday was only a pleasant memory as the temperature continued a downward slide throughout the day.
Animal Kingdom, Disney, Florida.
After breakfast Kathy and I dressed for the ducky weather and headed across Windsor for Kathy’s appointment with her Optometrist. Her appointment went well with her eyesight having improved again slightly for the second time in four years. She upgraded her glasses to something newer, allowing her when she gets her new ones to have her old ones tinted as new sunglasses.
Hollywood Studios Disney, Florida.
The clouds in the sky were the real thing.
Leaving there just before noon we stopped at Wendy’s for an enjoyable lunch and conversation in order to waste some time. Our intention was to stop at her family doctor’s office to get the results on her shoulder scan and she believed she was experiencing a sinus infection that was making it difficult for her to breathe and giving her a swollen gland in her neck from the drainage. Kathy’s doctor confirmed the sinus infection and swollen glands and reported that Kathy had a 6mm tear in her Rotator Cuff causing the pain and inflammation in her shoulder.
Hogwarts Castle, Universal Theaters, Florida
Now we headed to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up antibiotics for Kathy’s infection and Cortisone that her doctor will inject into her shoulder tomorrow. Again we needed to wait around so we walked the aisles and found different toiletries that we were in need of that just happened to be on sale.
Chatanooga River Duck Tour. Tennessee.
Seems like those clouds are following us.
It was close to 4:00 when we got home and it was still raining. Once we were comfortable Kathy coached me on making a casserole for supper because the pain in her arm was just too much for her. By the time we had eaten and I had finished washing and drying the dishes it was time to watch the 6 o’clock News.
Clouds even followed us to Shipshewanna, Indiana.
Now it is time to settle down at the computers to play catch up and ponder that there is only 42 days until Christmas. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I hope Kathy is on the mend soon. My Father-In-Law just had rotator cuff surgery and I can't say that I can recommend it based on his experience.

  2. Glad Kathy got her results, and now the doctor can get her on the way to healing. Sending along a prayer that the injection will give her comfort and asking for His healing hand upon her shoulder.

  3. Glad they figured out the problem with Kathy's shoulder. Those cortisone shots are miraculous. When my Dr. told me she was going to inject cortisone into my shoulder joint, I was a bit apprehensive. But the injection was not painful at all and within a day or two the shoulder was getting better. It felt almost 100% within a week. Good luck Kathy and feel better fast.
