It was definitely amazing that both Kathy and I stayed on the computers until after midnight last night. It was also amazing that we both woke feeling more rested then we have in quite some time. The only symptoms remaining are a dry cough and minor stuffiness.

After I had a quick shower and shave we headed out to the town of Essex to bring our laptop in for a checkup as it never holds a charge. Once we had our laptop at the techs of SX-Video he could test it. We went to the grocery store for things we missed yesterday. Having packed a lunch we sat in the truck and enjoyed our meal while people watching. When we checked with Cory the tech he still couldn't get it to charge and it looked as if the battery was fried. We'll see if another battery will work or it could be a problem with the mother board. If it is the mother board and this laptop is now 4 years old we will just have to continue plugging it in to use it and look at replacing our older laptop with a new model.

From Essex we headed over to our son's home in Amherstburg. If you recall back at the end of November I had helped him put the Christmas Lights high into the tree in his front yard. Because of severe Arthritus in his hands and feet Kevin cannot safely climb a ladder because he has no way of gripping as he climbs so he put everything on the ground away. Also since before the new year Kathy and I have had the Flu and are just getting over it. It took about a hour and the last of the tree lights were down. I was surprised that my balance seemed to be off making the job take longer then normal. Standing near the top of a 12 foot stepladder using an 18 foot hook pole with sinus congestion didn't have a thing to do with that problem.

Once the grandsons were home from school Kathy and I went to Walmart looking if they might have a Humidifier because somebody suggested that the dry heat in the apartment could be responsible for the dry cough we have both developed. When we found what we were looking for we also learned that dry air creates static electricity in the air as well as more dust buildup in the air and on the furniture, something we have had a lot of lately.

Still killing a bit of time before going for supper we stopped at Canadian Tire to see what they had available. We were shocked to find they only carried the smallest model humidifier and the price was the same as what we had paid not for the medium but the large sized unit at Walmart.
After supper we returned to Kevin and Melissa's for our Wednesday evening visit where we all share ideas, advice and laughs. It's always a pleasurable visit. We brought a Turtle pie to share and enjoyed every bit of it with Kevin & Missy. Yummm! We all gained a few more pounds. As soon as we walked out their front door to come home Mother Nature decided to water the trees and grass but really did overdo it. Besides isn't springtime rain supposed to start in 69 days not now. Enjoy!
It's about time.

ReplyDeleteHope you get the puter problem figured out. We leave ours plugged in most of the time anyhow, so I guess that wouldn't bother us. Seems the batteries go down so fast anyhow.
