On Monday night’s Blog I wrote about the difficulties of sleeping. Most think it’s as easy as closing your eyes but sometimes the mind has other ideas. My shoulders felt good, so I went to join Kathy in Bed before midnight on Monday.

It felt like only moments later that I felt like I was being beaten by a Bat. I could even have sworn I was hearing distant voices. Strangely, I had made certain the Apartment Door was locked so it must have been the neighbours in the hall.

Then, I was really starting to feel Cold, I thought for certain that I had forgotten to shut the Air Conditioner. The more I tried to get up to shut it off, the Colder I felt, the Brighter it got, the more Weighed Down I felt and there were more voices around me.

Finally, a strange man wearing a Face Mask and Head Cover asked, “Do you know where you are?” I said, “I guess I’m not Home!He was examining Vials that would have contained Prescribed Medications, asking “Do you recognize these?” Me, “I can’t focus, but we have something like that at home. I am very cautious when I do our Doucettes.

After more tests, I could finally hear Kathy and our daughter Karen talking to a nurse. Wheeled out to Karen’s car I did not remember a thing until I woke up still feeling groggy this morning. All Kathy could tell me was she found me face down at the end of our Bed.

Then Karen called to check how I was doing and that she would stop by later, but nobody knew what happened. Kathy and I carefully took our Coffees to our Computers, just on time for our granddaughter to call. She was happy that I was okay but kind of raked me over the coals for not taking better care of myself. ????. I did not ask for any of this.

We enjoyed Hotdog Wraps for lunch with a dish of Watermelon chunks for dessert. We barely finished cleaning up when I started looking at the Vials brought back from the Hospital. What I found was Monday’s Nighttime Vial still contained all its pills, while another was totally empty.

When Karen arrived, she was able to fill in some information but not all. That was when I divulged what I suspected. Every evening when we take our Suppertime Pills, I also set up our Bedtime Pills. After I do this, the pills are separated so they don’t get mixed. Karen and I concluded that somehow the Vials were moved around. That almost ended in my near Overdose of the Medication. Starting tonight, those Medications will not only be stored at opposite ends of a table, but opposite ends of the room with Flashlights for Safety. Karen also suggested writing the Blog earlier, while the lights are still on.

After confirming that theory with our Pharmacist, he agreed I was lucky to have survived with only a wobbly walk similar to someone having multiple good nights on the town.

Our biggest meal for the day was at Wendy’s where we used a Coupon to keep our costs down.

We have appointments for the next few days.
