As always seems to happen, when you Plan to do something that has to take place just so, it never happens. We had Planned on being up early so that we could have breakfast at home, before going to our Family Doctor's Office. Instead, we both tossed and turned throughout the night, to the point that we slept in. Other than noting the temperature was above the Freezing Mark and taking our morning Medications, it wasn't long before we were out the door.
Since it was just over Fifteen Hours since we had eaten supper, we stopped at Wendy's for their Bacon/Egg and Cheese Wraps and Seniors Coffees.
With
shortened hours for Friday,
the Doctor's
Office
was only open from 9:00
until
1:00
with no Appointment
Times.
The parking lot and Waiting
Room
were packed, but we were called in within an Hour.
As soon as George examined the Lump
under my arm, he explained it was a Sweat
Gland
that had plugged up, creating a
@#$Cyst.
(Not
his words.) There
are ways to deal with it quickly that are messy and more Painful
than I am experiencing already. He wrote a Prescription
for an Antibiotic
that will clear it up in a few weeks.
Though
I had made this impromptu appointment just
for
myself, he saw that Kathy was behind in a few of
her Vaccines.
She received her Pneumonia
Shot
in one arm and her Flu
Shot
in the other. He said because I have never had a Flu
Shot
in
my life,
I didn't need it.????
Normally,
the Healthcare
System
pushes for everyone to get the Flu
Vaccine.
Every time my father
got a Flu
Vaccine,
he got sick. For years that happen, so when I pointed it out to him,
he stopped the Vaccines
and never had the Flu
again.
We drove to Health First Pharmacy to fill my Prescription. It was as full as the Doctor's Office had been. It also seemed like revolving door of people coming in for the same thing. Fifteen Minutes later, the Pharmacist was instructing me how to use them.
It was noon when I walked out with my goodies and the Cautionary Instructions of when to take them and when not to. These will definitely limit my dietary timing. We headed to Mary Brown's just up the road. With all the traffic on the roads, we just wanted to get home ASAP.
Inside the Apartment, the first thing I did was to take one of those Pills, but my arm continues to be tender, even though I have since taken a second Pill.
We enjoyed Perogies for supper while we watched the "6 o'clock Local News", before watching a "Murder Mystery" later.

Words of Inspiration
We forfeit three-quarters of ourselves in order to be like other people.

Staying on top of all our vaccinations has become a chore at this age.
