Even though the combined time for being connected to my CPAPs last night was just Seven Hours, it was not how long that I slept for but still managed to wake refreshed.
I was just getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy came out to join me and I hadn’t even tried to wake her. We settled for Cereal before taking our Coffees to our Computers.
With an afternoon appointment, there was no time to get into any extra research. After some cleaning up we resorted to sharing a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pepperoni/Ham and Mushroom Pizza with extra Mushrooms for lunch.
We
were pleasantly surprised when we walked out the rear entrance.
Though there was a slight breeze, there was no heavy Winds
chilling us to the bone. After returning our Two Wheeled Folding
Shopping Cart to the Car, we hopped into the Truck
to head out.
Our first stop was Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail before the Long Weekend. According to the signs in the door, it will be closed for Four Days. There were some things of importance that we were happy to have gotten.
It has been a few weeks since we last took the Truck anywhere except to the Storage Yard and home. That is not good for a Diesel Engine, so today it got to run out in the country on Secondary Highways. It purred like a kitten.
When we arrived at Rivertowne Dental in Amherstburg, their parking lot was full, so I dropped Kathy at the door, drove around the block and parked at the adjacent Grocery Store. There was plenty of extra spaces, so I was able to join Kathy within minutes.
With this being the lead up to the Easter Long Weekend, there were a lot of mothers bring their Kids in to have adjustments made to their Braces. I counted Eight from the time that Kathy was brought in, to the time she came out.
It was nearly 4:30 so we headed to the local Wendy’s to have supper, but when we got there, I couldn’t find the Coupon I had slipped into my wallet for out meal. Before ordering I mentioned to the Manager that I had lost the Coupon, so he added the code, saving us nearly Nine Dollars on our order. We enjoyed every bite.
I had Planned on going to the local Dollarama, but the Traffic was crawling long, so I headed through the back exit and cut through the neighbourhood to get where we wanted.
Our destination was our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house. Since Covid we have not been going out for our visits the way we used to, so we try to do it every time we have a Dental Appointment. This visit was long overdue. As we always have, the conversations were enjoyable, sometimes hilarious. We’ll try to visit more often.
Leaving there, we finally made it to the local Dollarama. They didn’t have the Breakfast Juice that we prefer, but they did have Five-Alive which was a close second. They were also very busy dealing with parents getting some Chocolate Treats for the Easter Bunny to hide.
It was a pleasant drive back to Windsor. We swung by the Pioneer gas station to top off the Truck with Fuel. Due to my health issues the Truck did not go far lately. The last time it was filled was December 22nd, 2023, the day I Re-Re-Re-Retired from Windsor Feedscrew. Fuel back then was $1.693/Litre, but today it only cost $1.229/Litre. Half a tank still cost $90.00.
We walked in the Apartment just as “Matlock” was about to start. We also watched “Law and Order” and “The Equalizer”.
Kathy is already in bed, and I hope to be looking at the inside of my Eyelids soon as well. We’ll let tomorrow play out before reporting on it.
