Interview Scheduled and Dinner With A Dear Friend.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Managing to sleep late twice in a week is not always a good thing so without too much more delay I quickly got things started for the day. With the Computers turned on and breakfast ready to serve it was not surprising that Kathy soon joined in the Living Room.

Looking outside was like a reflection of yesterday. There wasn’t a Cloud in the sky and the Temperature was already in the Mid-Fifties. After checking the weather I found a couple more Jobs to apply for.

While the Water Kettle was getting our second cup ready I was making the bed. That’s when my Cell Phone started ringing in the other room. Since I’ve started looking for work I never leave it behind. Would you believe it was the Personal Manager for a workplace that I applied for yesterday for the Fifth Time. After a brief conversation we scheduled an In-Person Interview for tomorrow.

We had Italian Wedding Soup for lunch with the last of the Cherry Pie that Kathy baked yesterday for dessert.

While I got cleaned up Kathy busied herself baking Biscuits. As soon as they were hot out of the oven they were packed in a sealed container just like the Rolly-Pollies that were made yesterday. With both in hand we soon headed out the door around 3:30 and even though it was 66 F (19 C) outside we brought our Jackets.

Clouds setting in this afternoon.

We first headed to Wendy’s Drive Thru where we ordered Three Full Sized Salads. By 3:55 we arrived to find our Dear Friend Vera just returning from a walk outside her Condo. Since we’ve all had our First Vaccines and we all stay home as much as possible this was a planned get-together for supper.

The conversation never stopped the entire time we ate and visited. Since Vera lives alone she was in desperate need of company. She always asks me to check things that are Electrical or Electronic that she has problems with and tonight was no different. The problem tonight was with her Twenty Year Old Cable Box. That model has been gone for a while but she doesn’t want to upgrade.

Kathy and Vera were amazed that they could see our Apartment Building over top of all the Trees from Vera’s Livingroom Window. There were a lot of Hugs before we left with the promise of getting together as soon as the Lock-Down is lifted. We caught a nice Sunset Picture while heading to the Car and we were glad we had our Jackets.

On the 11 o’clock Local News we learned that the Ontario Provincial Government was again extending the Province Wide Lock-Down by an additional Two Weeks bring it to a full Eight Weeks.

There was 1 New Coronavirus Death in the Windsor/Essex Region bringing the Total Deaths to 420. There were also 59 New Cases in the area.

  7. I have been sending positive thoughts your way all morning. Hopefully your 5th application is the charm. Perhaps Vera will feel less lonely now that she can see your building.
