Wet Weather, Critiquing Cupboards and Preempted.

I am definitely going to have to start using my Alarm Clock as this sleeping in is just becoming a bad habit. Then again this is a Canadian Holiday so not many places are open and looking outside not many people are outside because of the weather.
It was comfortable enough to open the Balcony Door while having breakfast but looking down in the parking lot it appeared to have rained all night. If you looked close enough water could be seen dripping from the Balcony Railing.

As we sat at the Computers periodically the sound of the intensity of the Rain could became more pronounced. According to The Weather Network it would continue like this through tomorrow. Reading most of the Canadian Bloggers we follow they were experiencing the same kind of weather.
For lunch I chopped Onion and Celery while Kathy put together a wonderful Chili dish. She added Macaroni Elbows along with Tomatoes and Seasoning that gave it just the right taste and stretched it enough for a second meal. We also had Oranges, Cookies and Pudding Cups for dessert.

The Rain never stopped all afternoon it simply slowed a few times so Kathy did a little critiquing on the cupboards relocating the less used items to the higher shelves.
For supper we finished the Leftover Pepper Steak on a bed of Egg Noodles.

We were all set to watch the 6 o’clock Local News but being this is a National Holiday it was Preempted by a Cooking Show. ???? Guess we’ll be watching it at Eleven. We watched a movie.

Tomorrow we’ve got some calls to make. Kathy is having problems with her Hearing Aids and she’s having Dry Eye issues. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Beautiful weather east of Algonquin! No rain, a bit breezy. Unfortunately the black flies are thick and hungry.

  2. Sounds like a somewhat relaxing rainy day. Though with all the rain west of you in Lower Michigan they are starting to have flooding issues.

  3. I am sorry to hear that your national holiday was ruined by all the rain but you are retired so everyday is a holiday!

  5. Weirdly it rained here yesterday a LOT. It never rains here in May. I think summer is getting older like us and doesn't want to come out until July.

  6. Dry eye issues are not pleasant. Mine used to be so bad that I had to wear sunglasses inside and could not use the computer as me yes hurt too much from the light. My eye doctor suggested Lausch & Lomb ophthalmic drops every few hours or ore often if indeed and a bedtime to use their ophthalmic gel. Within a month I was back to normal.

Jim was especially impressed with it. If you decide to get one and mention our names we both get a $25 gift card.

Hope Kathy gets her eyes taken care of. Not fun.
