Open and Close, More Coronavirus and Face-Timing.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

I’d barely gotten things ready for breakfast this morning when Kathy joined me at the dining table. That was when she realized that it wasn’t even 8:00 yet. The sky had few Clouds but the temperature and the breeze were comfortable so we had our Balcony Door open for a bit before closing it. We didn’t close it because of the Spring Weather but because our neighbours were outside with their morning Coffee and were Smoking. The breeze was bringing the smoke straight into our Apartment. We were on our Computers before they took off so we again opened the Balcony Door.
Everything is turning green.
Having been contacted by Hearing Life about Kathy’s issue with her Hearing Aid we now have to wait for the Local Office to contact us. Since we had to wait around Kathy decided to see how Vera was doing. She answered on the sixth ring and they talked for nearly a Half Hour. Someone in our neighbourhood was cutting their grass so we had to close our Balcony Door so Kathy could hear the phone. Since Vera lives alone she’s really feeling lonely through this isolation period and is almost scared to go out for groceries.
For lunch we worked together creating an over the top Garden Salad. Besides the Mixed Greens we added Carrots, Celery, Onions, Tomatoes and Shredded Feta Cheese. After eating such a healthy lunch we just had to have Oranges and a Brownie for dessert.

With a clear sunny sky we sat with the Balcony Door open again as we did some research this afternoon hoping to get some positive news as to if we’ll be heading south this coming Winter. What the Scientist are saying about the Coronavirus returning not only in the Fall but again after the New Year does not look promising. We don’t want to stay put out of fear but we want to protect ourselves since we both have Extenuating Circumstances that could put us at risk.

I’ve mentioned how we have tried different Prepared Foods to have on hand for times we need something quick to eat. Not all make a second appearance to our table. One that we have had a few times and really liked was Lou’s Pulled Pork. Kathy remembered when she served it just recently she served the entire package rather then saving half for another meal which resulted in our waddling away from the table.
For supper we tried for the first time Lou’s Shaved Beef Brisket. It was as tasty as the Pulled Pork so it will make our list of things to keep on hand just in case. Tonight Kathy remembered to only serve half which means we’ll be having another Hot Sandwich in the next few days.

We had the Dishes all washed and put away before the 6 o’clock Local News came on. They talked more about the Virus basically telling us what we found out earlier. Their weather guesser said we reached 69 F (20.4 C) today. He also showed some Summer temperatures heading our way this weekend before returning to Spring next week.

At 7:30 Kathy was once again Face-Timing with Karen, Kevin and Ken. Again we needed to close the Balcony Door so Kathy could hear because a Lawn Service Company was running a Zero Radius Mower outside.

They just got caught up on what’s been happening since they got together Two Weeks ago. With Saturday’s weather looking nice Karen invited us to visit outside on her deck. That would give us a chance to visit face to face and still Social Distance. After they were finished Face-Timing we got to open our Balcony Door for the rest of the evening.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. It seems to be quite a bit warmer up here in the Ottawa Valley. Are those Lou's meats made in Canada?

  3. Like all the other flu type illnesses we have had, this one will hang around for a couple of years, then will be pretty much gone. Hoping it happens sooner than later so people don't have to be shut in.

  4. I have to agree with Nancy. If you come south, will you be keeping the apartment or would you be going back to full timing in the Jayco?

    1. Not sure which way we will go so just waiting for now. Our Jayco is to go back to the factory for repairs but had to reset the date for that because of the Corona Virus!

  5. I love having the house open and these last few days were perfect for doing so. Yuk on the smoke coming up to your area.

  6. Your meals look delicious!

Love how green everything looks and the grass must be growing by leaps and bounds if so many people are having to mow their yard.
