Both Kathy and I hope that all our Female Readers were able to enjoy a Happy Mothers Day at least talking to their Families if they could not be with them in person.
It was 43 F (6 C) this morning.
We both slept like a couple of rocks and managed to sleep in until 8:30 this morning. Looking outside all we could see were Clouds that looked like they could be troublesome.

Breakfast was a Muffin but before we could finish the phone was already ringing. It was our son Ken calling to wish Kathy a Happy Mothers Day. They talked a while longer before we brought our Coffee/Tea over to the Computers.

When Kathy went to Facebook there were other warm wishes waiting for her. When I checked the Comment section of our Blog again there were a number of greetings that she was Thankful to read.

Around 11:00 I called our daughter Rose to wish her a Happy Mothers Day. Being that she is nearly half way through this pregnancy she appreciated the call.

I’d barely hung up when Kevin called to wish his mom a Happy Mothers Day. They shared a few laughs.
Now you see the Chocolate Chips.
Kathy became upset that I would not allow her to help make our lunch even though she often refuses to let me help with some meals. It was simple enough as I made one of her favourites a Chocolate Chip Pancake but when you make them the size of the plate you only need One. Mine was made without the Chocolate Chips but was still as enjoyable.
My Pancake.
Again Kathy was upset that I insisted she enjoy her day while I cleaned up the Dishes. She just has a hard time letting someone do things for her.

I’d just sat down when our daughter-in-law Jen called not only to wish Kathy a Happy Mothers Day but to say they she had something for her downstairs. Kathy sent me down but when I got to the Lobby nobody was there. When I returned empty handed Kathy sent me back saying to go to the back door.

Jen left her Car parked in the back parking lot while she along with Connor and Haigan came to greet me outside. The boys have been staying at home while doing their Schoolwork On-Line. I got Hugs while we spoke for a short while. We miss visiting with all our Family and Friends. Kathy waved good-bye from the Balcony as they drove away.
Kathy loved the potted Lilies she received as her gift. We both received belated Birthday Cards as well.

We had barely sat back at the Computers when our daughter Karen called to wish her mom a Happy Mothers Day. Greg as a Tradesman will be returning to work at the Chrysler Assembly Plant tomorrow to help get things ready for the reopening in another week. They be setting things up so that those working on the lines won’t be getting sick from the Virus.
We still weren’t feeling that hungry even after watching the 6 o’clock Local News but we knew we had to have something or we’d start munching later. We chose Chicken Noodle Soup. Kathy cheated while I was cooking the Soup she slid behind me and cleaned up some Grapes for us to have for dessert.

It was raining by the time we finished eating. We did manage to watch the season finales of both Nancy Drew and Highlander. Tomorrow we have a few things to take care of so we’ll let you know about it then. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Happy Mothers Day to Kathy, it was great that you got to see family also. I am sure Kathy will be happy to get those hugs when it is safe for her to do so, hoping that is soon.

  3. We had the same struggle here, Brad wanting to do everything for me... we ordered pizza for supper as we were both busy puttering around getting ready for the move. Happy Belated M-day to Kathy.
