Change Of Weather, Finding The Item and More.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

It was only minutes after 7:00 when I opened the Blinds to the Balcony this morning to be greeted by the Sun poking through the Clouds. I immediately took its picture to later show that it didn’t hide all day. The next thing I did was get things ready for breakfast before sitting down at my Computer. I managed to read all the early risers as well as the late posters before Kathy started her day.
The only Sun I saw today.
Again while we ate we talked of things we needed to do and things we still needed to bring back to the Apartment. This meant another List was started that would be added to a few more times through the morning.
Wet Pavement in the Parking Lot.
By the time we moved our Coffee/Tea over to the Computers the view outside had changed. Looking down at the parking lot one could see the dry pavement under the vehicles. With that in mind we had yet another morning cup of refreshments before doing some inside chores then our lunch.
Lunch today was Vegetable Soup, with a Cheese Stick, and Yogurt Cup as well as a Banana for dessert. Kathy made certain we’d had enough to eat because we didn’t know how long we’d be gone for.
Our first stop was Canadian Tire where I needed to look for Storage Bins that were thin enough to fit under our Bed. Kathy herself admitted we didn’t have as much Storage for our clothes here as what we did in the Trailer. Finding Bins that were designed exactly for that reason we will be able to store the Off-Season Clothes there while keeping the Seasonal Clothes in the Dressers.

Kathy also found the Item that we searched for yesterday. It was a Three Piece Bathroom Mat Set which it seems that all the other outlets have stopped carrying. She also found some large sized Dish Towels to replace the ones that are wearing out.
With the Rain slowing down slightly we headed over to the Trailer at Guardian Storage. Kathy stayed in the Car while I retrieved more Tools from the Basement. We then went to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Luckily the Clothing Racks are on Wheels so within a minute we were able to get to the Back Corner of the Unit. There a box of Electronics from our last apartment, our Bedcover Rack and our Two Wheeled Shopping Cart were all recovered to bring to the apartment. A stop at the Office was made to collect a single piece of Mail.

We then headed to Motor City Community Credit Union where I ordered new Cheques for our Joint Chequing Account. The company that owns our Apartment Building likes to have Postdated Cheques instead of having Automatic Payment. The last time we ordered any Cheques was over Eight Years ago.

Even though we’d had a good lunch it seemed to have disappeared and we were starting to get hungry at 3:00. We stopped at Taco Bell to have an early supper. The Cashier explained that it was cheaper for me to purchase a Box Meal then a Combo for what I ordered and she was right. After Kathy enjoyed her Combo I gave her the Cinnamon Twists for dessert and I have a Burrito left for lunch tomorrow.
Same Picture Twice
The Rain seemed to have eased a bit as we were leaving and I remembered something that we hadn’t put on our List this morning. We drove back to Canadian Tire where I found the Light Switch I needed. Kathy came across a display that was selling potted Christmas Cactus that are about to bloom. After having seen them last Winter in the desert neat Quartzsite she couldn’t resist and one found its way into our Cart.
See the wet reflection on the pavement.
I wanted to stop at Shoppers Drug Mart but Kathy wanted to go to Giant Tiger so I dropped her off before walking to Shoppers. I found my Wrist Support then joined Kathy at Giant Tiger. We found a few more things that came home with us.

Kathy insisted she could walk from the parking lot and would help me bring things up. I loaded our Two Wheel Shopping Cart for her to carry all the Smaller Heavier Items while I carried the Larger Lighter Things. When we got between the Buildings the harsh Wind chilled us to the bone.

We decided to get a fresh start on our projects first thing in the morning. We actually watched the 6 o’clock News so we won’t have to stay up late. Our hot Showers helped to warm us up. We may have plans for tomorrow but we all know that when they are written in Jell-O they can get stirred up. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

You know you are getting old when

the gleam in your eye is from the sun hitting your bifocals.

  1. We have not seen the sun here either but at least it is not cold or rainy. I thought of you all when I watched House Hunters International on HGTV...it featured a party guy from Canada who wanted and bought a home in Spain.

How odd that an apartment building would prefer a post dated check to an automatic payment.

You guys put me to shame all I did was sit in front of the TV most of the day watching Impeachment Hearings.
