Soon after getting out of bed I had the Electric Heaters on to warm up the inside of the Trailer. Turning on the Computer the first thing I looked at was The Weather Network where it showed that it was colder than yesterday. I also noted that the temperature back in Essex was colder than we were experiencing.
After having breakfast and reading everyone’s Blogs that we follow I figured since we’ll be leaving soon that it was time to do the Laundry. Today I would include the bedding so my first task was to strip the bed down.
Everything was sorted and prepped but Kathy thought it wise to have our lunch first. Trying to use up what we have in stock we had Hot-Dogs and the last few Perogies we had in the Freezer. It tasted wonderful and would hold us through the afternoon.
Flags still at half mast for the late President Bush.
While I was busy getting the Laundry started, Kathy had been keeping a close eye on our accounts making certain that the Money Transfers were in place. After I had transferred the Clothes to the Dryers I went back to the Trailer so I could make the bed with our other clean bedding. It was at that point that Kathy indicated the Transfers were not showing. All I could tell her was the Transfers take Three to Four Business Days to show up and they didn’t count the Weekends. This really has the both of us on edge.
By the time I came back with everything clean and folded Kathy announce the first Two Transfers had just posted but the latest request from the Bank was still not there. As I was prepping the Spareribs to bring outside to grill Lorrie called from our Bank to say the funds had been transferred.
While I was grilling the Spareribs Kathy made a Spinach and Pepper Salad as the side for supper. I finally managed to get a few Sunset Pictures while outside. Supper was tasty and filling.
Lots of buds on the cactus palms
While we were eating Darla from Vision Ford called to say Richard the Mechanic had just finished assembling our Truck and he would do a road test in the morning. If everything checked out we could pick it up before lunch.
As soon as the dishes were washed Kathy went On-Line to check our Bank Account so she could transfer the money to our Credit Card. The money wasn’t there. I called the same number I always do only to be told that I should have called another number and she immediately transferred my call. The next person tells me that I have to wait and call our branch in the morning because there was nothing he could do for us and have a good night. Click. What kind of Customer Service is that? Those are definitely not the people we normally talk to.
I’ll call our branch in the morning and hopefully we’ll be able to get our Truck and get back on the road. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. Maybe time to start avoiding dealers for repairs, it doesn't take long to find local repair facilities , you have the ability to use RV forums to find any kind of recommendation.Personally I learned a long time ago that dealers are all different, your local dealer is different than ones while on the road. Good luck on your travels.

  3. I don't know if any of your banking has to be done in America..but today is the National Day of Mourning for President Bush..so banks are closed (just fyi). I'm hoping it all goes well for you. Travel safely when you're on the road again! Love your pictures today!

  6. Seriously from reading your past posts, I would consider changing banks. After all it is your money and you should have the capability to put the money in what ever account you want. To be told to talk to your local branch is totally unacceptable. Bank employees forget if they did not have your money then they would not have a job. Increase the limits on your credit cards. It has no affect on you. The bank is responsible. A good bank will monitor them. Many a time I have been called by the bank when I have a double charge at the same establishment. Transfers occur within the hour. At your age and with your credit rating you and Kathy do not need the grief you have gone through dealing with your bank the last couple of months.
