Weather Change and Strange Movie.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

It felt strange being awaken by the Sunlight peeking around the Window Shades in the bedroom shortly after 6:00 this morning. I then sat on the edge of the bed and I blinked. Another look at the Clock and it then read it was past 8:00 and I was feeling stiff after sitting on the edge of the bed for so long.
I had everything prepped for breakfast, the Window Shades lifted and had already read an E-Mail Reply by the time Kathy got out of bed. She had warned me before going to bed last night she wanted to make French Toast so she only needed to take the Eggs out of the Fridge. They are a treat and we try not to overeat them because like everything else at our ages seems to stick to our waists.

We finished our Coffees at the Computers checking the Blogs on our Sidebar. By 9:30 the Humidex was already at 102 F (39 C) and would climb by noon hour. The temperature normally doesn’t affect me but lately it’s had me feeling dragged out, robbing me of my energy before I even get started.
We enjoyed a simple Sandwich for lunch topped off with a Fruit Cup for dessert. Looking out the windows as we ate the forecasted Heavy Clouds were already starting to fill the Sky.

The 109 F (43 C) Humidex was accompanied by distant Thunder. Within Fifteen Minutes the Thunder was starting to cause the Park Power to shut down for short periods of time. When the Rain finally came down it only dampened the Patio and was gone in minutes.
Just enough rain to wet the Toneau Cover on the Truck.
Checking the On-Line Radar, it showed there was a much larger cell heading our way, giving us about an Hour to its arrival. It also showed the Humidex had dropped to 90 F (32 C) after only the brief Rain. Since it was close to supper time I turned on the Weber while Kathy got a Thin Crust Pizza ready.

I stayed outside while it cooked and watched as more Clouds filled the Sky. It also gave me the chance to tell Dave and Jean the dangers of leaving their Two Awnings out while going for an afternoon drive. Their son has been using their trailer but they came out for the Long Weekend. They appreciated the information and were also surprised how I was grilling the Pizza.

It was done in Fifteen Minutes and tasted wonderful but because of the Thin Crust we weren’t stuffed. We had Apple Sauce for dessert.

We watched a movie called “Demolition” starring Jake Gyllenhaal this evening. It was about the strange way the character dealt with the sudden loss of his wife in a Traffic Accident. We both agreed that this person should have gone for Bereavement Counselling. Check it out and you will understand how they got the title for the movie.

The Rain hasn’t stopped since we sat down for supper and is supposed to Rain all night. Sounds like good sleeping weather to us. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Good morning! Sound like a great day even with the heat. Thank goodness for a/c! Got to admit your meals look delicious. Hope you got the rain you wanted overnight and slept well!

  2. And I think our temps are bad, Rick!!

While in Colorado, a couple parked near me went off for the day. I saw the sky turned and pulled my awning in. The wind and rain picked up quickly!I was watching TV when I heard a loud bang. I looked out to see the wing having its way with their awning. I always traveled with dozens of bungee cords so I grabbed a bunch and ran over. I was almost afraid of losing a finger or hand as the wind violently lifted and dropped it. I finally managed to get it secure. When the people arrived home, they were nice enough to come over to see if I had secured it. They said they remembered that they hadn’t secured the awning a couple hours into their drive, but figured they’d take their chances as the weTher was clear where they were.

I’ve been meaning to mention to you that recently the text in your posts is underlined. I don’t “think” the problem is on my side because it’s not underlined on other sites. Just thought you’d want to know.
