November Weather, Taxes Done, Checked Our Site and Playing With Sanford.

Our Location today is at Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

With the Forecasted November Weather, (What the Local Weather Guesser called it.) we once again were in no hurry to start our day. We again were not only given below seasonal temperatures but the landscape had started taking on Winter Wonderland affect. Even Sanford was not too keen on going outside when offered the opportunity. We were only on the Computers long enough to check the updated weather forecast and our E-mails before heading out the door.

Our first stop was at our Accountants Office to pick up our Income Tax Returns. Unlike last year we get a little back rather then having to pay Revenue Canada.

Our next stop was to check our Mail at Guardian Storage before going back to our Storage Unit. When we emptied our Trailer so that it could be shipped back to Jayco’s Repair Facility we put everything there including our Barrels. When our Trailer comes back we will have only a few days to reload everything before heading out to Wildwood for the remainder of the season. We decided today would be a good day to take the Barrels out to our site and since it was still Snowing and the Windchill was well below the Freezing Mark that was all we took.
That's Wet Snow on the Windshield
and Drifting Snow on the Road.
It surprised us to see that it was already past 12:30 so we stopped at A&W for lunch. Using coupons that we got in the mail we both enjoyed the Chubby Chicken Combos which was tasty and filling but didn’t leave us feeling stuffed.
Office at Wildwood Golf and RV Park.
It was past 1:30 by the time we arrived at Wildwood Golf and RV Park. When we walked in the Office Val immediately greeted us by our names but then looked past us and asked “Where’s your Fifth Wheel Trailer?” She was sorry to hear of our delima and hoped we’d be back soon. Since we were there we also paid our Seasonal Fee. We were informed that this is the first time since the park has been open Twenty-Six Years ago that they have not turned on the Water by the middle of April.
Our Site looking empty. The Barrels covered over by our Shed.
When we were done in the Office we drove back to our Site to check how things faired out through the winter and to off load the Barrels. After seeing that a couple of our trees didn’t make it Kathy went back to the warmth of the Truck while I stored our Barrels under their cover.

Nature was calling and with the Park’s Washrooms being closed we headed back towards Windsor to Tim Horton’s where we used the washrooms as well as having Coffees to warm up.

Like yesterday we arrived to pick Tyler up just as he was walking out of his Co-op Training Workplace. Back at the house in the time it took him to shower I was able to bring in a few more things that had been left in the Truck that we needed. Tyler was ready early so we dropped him off at his Part-Time After School Job nearly a Half-Hour early.

Since we knew that we’d be “Home Alone” until later in the evening we decided to walk around Walmart. We did pay them for the privilege by picking up a few Groceries and Hygiene Products that we needed.
Can we go Play?
Karen had Kathy help her to make some Ham and Pea Soup last night and told us to have some. Since we had those Combos for lunch that Soup was the perfect meal for our supper.
Sanford should have been called Linus from the Peanuts Cartoon.
He brings his Blankey everywhere.
Poor Sanford was getting antsy because no one else was around so Kathy suggested I take him outside in the Back Yard. When he saw that I was joining him, he wanted to play Get the Ball which involved trying to steal the Ball from him and chasing after him. By the time we went inside I was ready to crawl in bed myself. He brought his Blankey downstairs and was snoring but as soon as he heard Karen come in the door he practically flew up the stairs.

We’re not sure what we’ll be up to tomorrow so stop by and find out. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. Wet, cold, and snow...I hate to say it but the weather is depressing but then I am guessing you already knew that.
Glad to read in a previous post that the 5th wheel is finally on its way. Fingers crossed they get it back all fixed correctly in the promised time frame.
    Stay warm and take care.
