Early Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

It was bound to happen sooner or later and last night was the night. Get your minds out of the gutter. I slept fairly soundly and Kathy was awake most of it. She even tried reading E-mail, blogs and books to try and make herself sleepy but with no luck. To top that off I wasn’t out of bed five minutes and she was right behind me tired but wide awake. After having coffee and cereal covered with blackberries we went back to the computers to read what wasn’t posted the last time we looked. Of course Kathy was back reading her book while I had my morning shower.

Shortly after 10:00 we were on our way to Fantastic Sam’s for our haircuts. We arrived early enough that Jenna our stylist was able to have us both finished, rescheduled and out the door before our actual scheduled time. She and her partner opened the shop this morning at 10:00 and there was a line up waiting at the door when they arrived so they hadn’t even had time to eat their breakfast sandwiches they had picked up on the way in.

Back at the apartment we had the Penne Pasta that Kathy had made the other day for our lunch. It seems to get better as the ingredients meld together. We even finished off with the rest of the Cantaloupe I had sliced up yesterday for our dessert. We don’t believe in letting anything go to waste especially when we paid for it with our hard earned money.

Kathy did more reading and had a Snap this afternoon before we left for her dentist appointment in Amherstburg. Why we don’t mind going all that distance for our appointments is we make the appointments for Wednesday afternoon. We also try to have a weekly visit with our son Kevin, daughter-in-law Melissa and the grandsons Cameron and Matthew on Wednesday evenings at their home in Amherstburg.

Again arriving early at the dental office they were able to take care of Kathy’s needs fairly early. We then went walking around Canadian Tire and Walmart because the weather was starting to look threatening before going over to Maria’s restaurant where we had an enjoyable supper.

Arriving around the normal time at the kid’s home we visited with Kevin for awhile. Melissa was busy with the first Parent/Teachers meeting of the year at the boy’s school. By the time she got home there was a lot more to talk about as the school boards are constantly trying to change the curriculum of the students every year. We still had a good visit and Melissa had us in stitches laughing before we left again this week.

In answer to comments about the movie The Butler. It is not an action movie but rather a documentary of events that many of us will recall having heard or participating in during our lives. It is based on a true story but it will definitely hold your interest. When the movie ended before the credits started the whole theater erupted in applause because it had stirred the emotions of everyone there.

Tomorrow could be a day of waiting or a very busy one all depending how it goes together. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Two women were standing at a funeral.

"I blame myself for his death." said the wife.

 "Why?" said her friend.

"Because I shot him." said the wife.
