Appointments and It’s Home.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

As expected the throbbing from the procedure on Kathy’s toe kept her awake a better part of the night. She had taken a Tylenol Extra Strength Tablet just before 11:00 last night but it was only good for approximately four hours of relief. Even though I didn’t get to bed until after 1:00 myself we were both wide awake and having breakfast before 8:00 giving us some relaxation time before heading out to Kathy’s doctor appointment. This trip is just to see how she is doing with the new arthritic medication since the last increase in the dosage. The office was full as usual but with only a few people taking longer than most it didn’t take long.

By the time we left the doctor’s office it was nearing lunch time but first we made a stop at Vehicle Venture to find out what the delay was on the arrival of our Toneau Cover for the truck.  Once we had a more definite date of the delivery which should be overnight and installation schedule for 11:00 tomorrow morning we then went over to Wendy’s to enjoy a full sized Baja Salad for our lunch which filled us up but not out and was healthier than eating fries.

Now it was time to go to the Surgeon’s office for my appointment where I got the news that I was waiting to hear. I am now healed enough to slowly start back at exercising and that I can once again start donating blood. Returning to a more active lifestyle will help ease many body aches as well as increasing my energy level. So unless I have any other problems I don’t need to return.
The weather was pleasantly comfortable.
Once we were back at the apartment Kathy needed to soak her foot and take a Tylenol to ease the throbbing caused by all this today’s walking. I was going to go outside to measure and mark the front air dam on the truck so that I know where to drill the last of the holes I need to drill when I received a phone call that changed our plans for the afternoon.
All hooked up and ready to go.
Sun Parlour Trailer called to say the trailer was ready to go. The final part was being held at the courier’s depot in Detroit and they weren’t sure when they’d get it here. Rob crossed the border after closing for the day because he knew we were anxious to get the trailer back considering it has been there since the day after we returned from Florida in April. In less than an hour we were in Amherstburg and were ready to hitch up to the trailer. With all the pretravel checks completed we were headed for Windsor and the Guardian Storage yard. Our spot has been empty for so long that grass is growing through the gravel.
Finally back in the storage yard.
After a quick stop for fuel we stopped at Arby’s for a nice roast beef sandwich. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice weather so who knows what we’ll be up to. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

Doctor: “You seem to be in excellent health.

Your pulse is as regular as clockwork.”

Patient: “That's because you've got your hand on my watch.”

  1. Sounds like a great report from your surgeon. Glad you've healed and are getting back to more activity. I hope Kathy's toe heals fast too now. I certainly know what it's like to be without a healthy foot. It affects everything you do.

  2. Glad the recovery is going well! It has been a long time since we have been in a Wendy's.
