Very Busy Day

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

By the time the 11 o’clock News was over last night Kathy’s eyes were already closing and she was soon fast asleep. The problem was that my eyes were far from being heavy so I returned to the computer until I finally tired at 2:00 in the morning. Even then I still managed to wake several times when I turned over and was wide awake before 8:00 this morning. Kathy and I had discussed what we needed to accomplish today so shortly after breakfast we finished our coffees as we gathered a very large load of laundry.
An easy way to see the most of the St. Louis Botanical Gardens.
From the beginning of last summer contractors have been rebuilding the balconies on the entire building. We did get lucky that they only started ours just three days before we left to go to Florida in January and completed it while we were gone. Unfortunately the dust that was created by the reconstruction managed to find the smallest of openings and covered everything inside our apartment. Even though we have been continually cleaning since our return there was still plenty of things we hadn’t clean until today.
Not all the displays are outside.
Besides having our normal laundry to do I also had the bed linens, bathroom towels, the heavier bed covers and our living room through covers to do. By the time I had loaded our shopping cart that we use for the laundry I needed to add a laundry basket on top of it so I could bring everything downstairs at one time. Down in the laundry room it seemed that we were not the only ones with Spring Cleaning on our minds. There were four other people some with clothes in the washers and others nearly finished with their clothes already in the dryers. As a washer became available I would start one load at a time until I had completed all six loads of wash. By the time I had everything in the dryers I had already folded one load so I brought it and all the detergents back to the apartment.
These plants are all growing in a pond.
Kathy’s goal had been to dust any and every surface that could support dust. She did all that plus managing to scrub the bathroom and kitchen from top to bottom. When I returned the first time we stopped for a snack of her homemade Date Squares that would help tide us over until supper.
Check out what is growing in the Biosphere.
Back at the laundry room I had the place to myself so it made it easier to fold one dryer at a time without having to rush because nobody was waiting for it. Within two hours I was back at the apartment having folded all our laundry. Now I needed to put the fresh linens on the bed before we could unload the shopping cart and put everything else away.
The Botanical Gardens also contain interesting history.
For supper I fired up the Weber Q to grill up some Johnsonville Brats and a couple of Zucchinis. Kathy prepared the rest of the cantalope ala mode for our dessert. The rest of the night was spent relaxing watching the News and reading all the posts I didn’t get to this morning and writing this post.
Not far away you'll find St. Louis other main attraction.
Tomorrow we have a few things that we didn’t get to do today plus we already have a few more plans made. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I don't know about you two, but we are remodeling, and that darn drywall dust can find every nook and cranny available. I have to dust all the cupboards and drawers. It goes every where...yuck!

  2. We need to do some Spring cleaning, too . . . luckily in the rV it doesn't take too long . . . of course, we still manage to procrastinate!
