Inspiring Day.

Our Location today is Old Town, Florida.

Kathy’s head no sooner hit her pillow last night and she went straight to sleep. Myself I tossed and turned before sliding in and out of sleep throughout the night. We even managed to make certain all the windows and vents were closed in order to keep warm under the covers without the heat being on.
Sunrise on the Suwannee River.
This morning I was wide awake before 7:00 so I got myself dressed and out the door before the sun made an appearance. I managed to get out on the docks along with another person to try and catch our first sunrise here in Florida and what better place to do it than on the Suwannee River.
After having gotten a few pictures in to greet the day and being entertained by the fish jumping out of the water I was on my way back to the trailer when I spotted a red headed woodpecker. I don’t know the proper name but this is the one that Judy Bell from Travels With Emma is always trying to get a good clear close-up of. Try as I much as I could getting a clear shot of the little guy was impossible. I did get a picture of a squirrel gathering his breakfast and wondering what I was looking at.
Do you mind I'm having Breakfast.
As I got back to the trailer Kathy was just getting out of bed and it was cooler in the trailer than it was outside. Once breakfast was over Kathy started decorating a picture frame with the seashells we had collected last week while on our boat tour. Of course we didn’t take a picture of it just yet but we will for tomorrow’s post.
Last night when Kathy was about to take her shower the faucet wouldn’t direct the water to the showerhead so this morning I was researching local RV parts outlets. I found three of them but for some reason Map-quest wouldn’t recognize Yellow Jacket RV Resort saying it didn’t exist. Then where the heck was I sitting at. Kathy came in and entered the same information and viola there it was. It just needed a woman’s touch I guess.
Kathy always gets smoked out.
Now it's burning.
The three RV parts outlets that I found turned out to be junk boxes on the outside and the trailers in the yard looked like that was where the parts were coming from. Still in search of a new faucet we headed down Highway 19 towards Fanning Springs in hopes of finding a RV Dealer. We only got part way down the road to Chiefland and there on the other side of the road was R & L Mobile Home & RV Supplies. It was a clean metal building on the outside and organized on the inside and they had the exact part I needed.
Hot Dogs for supper coming right up.
Back at the trailer it only took twenty minutes to change the old with the new part and then it was time to have our campfire that we missed last night because of the high winds. Not only did we have our first campfire of the year but we roasted our Hot Dogs over the fire and finally topped it all off by roasting our first Marshmallows of the year. Supper was yummy!
Roasted Marshmallows for dessert.
By the time the sun would have been setting the cloud covering was so thick there was no way of getting a sunset picture of today. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  3. From your pictures it looks like you are in a nice park. Appears not to be as crowded as some we have seen.
