Short Travel Day and MiFi Resolve.

Our Location today is Tarpon Springs, Florida.

A number of issues seemed to keep me from clearing my mind so I had another restless night for me that had me out of bed by 7:30 this morning. As per usual within minutes of my getting out of bed Kathy woke right up so it was time for breakfast. Once that was finished we immediately started prepping the interior of the trailer for travel as the RV Show and Rally closes today so everyone has to leave by 5:00 pm but the hydro will be shut down at noon today.

Now I needed to hike all the way back to the front of the fair grounds so I could speak to a couple of vendors. Twenty-five minutes later I made it to the front Exhibition Hall and got a refund for a return I had made. After that was completed I attempted to find the Verizon booth that had been relocated from the front vendors building to outside of the second vendors building on the far side of the fairgrounds. This was done to see if they might just be able to get our MiFi up and running. The best they could do was tell me to go to a regular Verizon location and they would be able to help us out.

Lucky for me I realized where I was and took a shortcut between the animal barns and was back at the trailer in just over ten minutes. Kathy was talking with Elaine who was anxious to see how I made out with the Verizon issue. Since she and Rick had been trying to help us get up and running she was not happy to hear the outcome.

Elaine and Kathy went back to their RV so they could Google a nearby Verizon location for us and make sure we could fit with the trailer. They even spoke with a representative at the location and were told for us to speak with Ray when we got there.

After saying our so longs to Elaine and Rick with the promise to get together for a social rather than a working get-together we were on our way. Thanks again to both of you for your help with the MiFi issue.

It only took fifteen minutes to arrive at the location but the place was packed and it took nearly an hour before we could finally work with Ray. After he checked a few things on the MiFi and our computers in less than fifteen minutes he had both our laptops and Kathy’s tablet all set up and working on our unit. He figures that the representative at the other location had slipped up and got our computers to work on the store’s MiFi system and not our unit. He showed us a number of things to look for and how to recognize if our system was working and a few tips on adding other computers or tablets to run on the unit.

It was way past lunch so we stopped at Taco Bell for a bite to eat. Once we finished that we drove the Fifty miles through mostly stop and go traffic. Our site was directly across from the office and a little tricky to back into because of the narrowness of the lane but we had all the utilities hooked and trailer leveled in less than a half hour.

Tomorrow will be a good day to explore the area. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
