Busy Visiting Day

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This morning Kathy and I both slept until after 9:00 am. and we both had scratchy throats. We figured we might both have picked something up at the clinic yesterday when we brought our granddaughter Kylla for her knee. Not only were there children running around but even adults who were coughing and sneezing making no attempt to cover their mouths or noses.

While we were having breakfast Kathy was quick to scan through sales at the local grocery stores to find the best bargains to keep our food bill down. So after coffee and cough-drops we started working on the computers until about 11:30 when we had a light lunch and another cough-drop and off we went.

Our first stop was Home Depot so I could pick up parts that I'll need for some of the alterations on the trailer sometime next week. Once we had the electrical supplies We ran into Nels Root and talked of Rving for about ten minutes. Next we picked up some silicon sealers and we were on our way to cash-out when we bumped into Bill MacDonald and his wife who had just finished their own shopping. We talked close to 40 minutes about everything from before the plant was closed to their RV travels as well as our trips for last year and this year.
Before we broke off the conversation another Co-worker Rick came walking up the aisle where we had a quick catchup of what is happening in the remaining plant and teasing him about how hard our 24/7 jobs were on us and wishing him luck to be able to join us some day.

Next we hit the grocery store and everytime I saw an old coworker it was like a visit of long lost relatives. We did walk out with lighter pockets but our shopping cart was full. Everything Kathy had on the shopping list was on sale saving between 40% - 50%. By the time we put everything away we both took another cough-drop and Kathy sat back for a nap while I started catching up on all the blogs that we read.

After a delicious supper of Talapia, sweet potatoes and beans we had strawberries and frozen yogurt  for dessert. We scrambled to do the dishes and watch the local news. Of special interest to us was the tornadoes that touched down in Michigan last night. At this point they believe that there was up to three tornadoes that hit the town of Dexter destroying and baldly damaging approximately a hundred homes with no loss of life. The Meteorologist are blaming the mild weather for the Early Spring Storms.

This evening neither of our throats are bothering us and Spring does start in 4 more days so hopefully the weather will calm down so we can get all our chores quickly finished and get on the road. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
