Is It Spring Yet?

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This morning even with the curtains closed the sun was filling our bedroom early. Finally it was too much to put up with so we became Early Risers. Kathy starts creating another Diabetic breakfast called Banana Fritters. They can be served two ways plain or with Carmel and Walnuts. Either way the are not hard to swallow but the problem is they taste like another. This recipe will be added to Kathy's Recipes page tomorrow.

Sitting in the dining room for breakfast and watching the Weather Channel something large seems to go by the dining room window catching Kathy's attention. I have my back towards the window so she was the first looking out telling me to come look at this big bird. In a tree that seperates the two apartment complexes was a Hawk. Instinct says get the camera because nobodys going to believe this. So I scramble to the office get the camera, turn it on and run back to the window just on time for Kathy to say there it goes. I didn't even get to snap a picture. Almost sounds like a fish story but true.

The rest of the morning was spent at the computers where I made adjustments by adding another page under our Blog Followers titled Kathy's Recipes. In yesterday's blog I posted the recipe for Strawberry Cream Pie. Today I copied that to Kathy's Recipes and I will be adding many more. This will become like a file saving spot for anyone interested & save time trying to finding a recipe and having to dig through our archives to find them.

This afternoon the sun continued to be bright so we set out for a walk to explore our neighbourhood, something we have yet to do since moving here. I brought the camera just in case we might stumble across the hawk from this morning. The sun was bright and water from the lot next door running through the parking lot but when you walked away from the building the wind chilled you to the bone.

Our walk helped us to see things that we didn't know existed until today. We saw many things from our windows and the parking lot but seeing it from a different angle really opened our eyes. Small local business and parks even seeing where we live from the otherside of a park. Notice in the picture it says Grumpys Garage.  After a stop for a coffee to warm up a bit we made our way back to the apartment.

There was a phone message waiting when we got home from Karen inviting us over for supper. It was an easy choice that we gladly accepted. When we got there Greg was outside bar-b-quing beef shiskabobs. Along with Spinich Salad, Stuffed Mushroom Caps and Oven Roasted Seasoned Potatoes it was all great. Thanks for the great meal kids. Yummy. Kathy feeding treats to Casey and Grandkids being silly. Always fun and great company.

With the weather being as surprisingly cold as it was today the one thought that I've been writing about just doesn't seem to be happening fast enough. Oh well I guess I've no other choice but to wait for Spring to arrive on schedule in another 23 days. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

Krackers

Two friends were out drinking when suddenly one lurches

backwards off his bar stool and lays motionless on the floor.

"One thing about Jim," his buddy said to the bartender,

"He knows when to stop."
