After kissing Kathy good night I immediately buckled down to writting the Blog. Fortunately, it did not take as long to write as I first thought and since my Nighttime Medication had not taken affect yet, a well liked Blog we follow caught my eye. That lengthened the time it would take to lean back in my Recliner, by Twenty Minutes. Another Hour passed before I would finally head off to Bed. Everything was perfect except for the Storms by-passing our area again, but I was back to tossing, napping, then turning the entire night.

Since I could no longer sleep in Bed at 7:36 so I started my day. Looking outside the pavement was totally dry so I shut the Air Conditioner so I wouldn’t need to open the Balcony Door to warm up. I had everything one step away from serving breakfast, before sitting down at my Computer. From that point on, I battled to stay awake, until Kathy came out to join me at 9:04. She was well rested, having slept like a Log. That’s odd, because she normally says like a Rock.

We settled in at our Computers until it was nearly lunch time. Given options for lunch, Kathy requested Veggie Wraps with no Meat, but small dish of Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert. I passed on the Ice Cream because I am Lactose Intolerant and suffered for having some last night, thinking that little bit would be okay.

Soon we were heading out the door, thinking of going for a walk. We headed west bound along Riverside Drive, stopping at a number of the Riverfront Parks along the way. If there were too many Families with unattended children running around screaming, we moved to the next Park. At the third one we actually got out to walk along the railing, watching Pleasure Craft of varying types. There were quite a number of Bronze Statues as presentations towards people that were trailblazers in their day. That Half Mile walk had us feeling good about exploring some more.

We cruised through a few more Park parking lots before we stopped near the foot of the Ambassador International Bridge, watching not only Pleasure Craft but the antics of different species of water fowl. There was still plenty of Truck Traffic using the older structure.

After driving through Sandwich Town, my former section of the city, we did something we had yet to do, we checked out the base of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge. As a child, Kathy remembered swimming at Brighton Beach with her parents and brothers. Many times when I was laid-off during the Winter, I worked at Morton Terminal welding on the Great Lake Ships. I also had a number of co-workers that lived in the Brighton Beach area. That entire area is now under the foundations of the new International Bridge. Even though we stayed on adjacent service roads there was a high number of Security Vehicles patrolling the area.

Since it came out directly at the mouth of the Expressway, we used that to speed up our return to the Parkway then home.

I was in the process of trying to improve on my version of Chicken Parmigiana when I received an upsetting call. I finally handed it over to Kathy that was as puzzled as before. It took an extra Hour to serve supper.

Later we watched another “Murder Mystery”.

It looks like we may not see any Thunderstorms, until later tomorrow evening.

Getting It Together and Planning Ahead.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Waiting just long enough for my eyes to start getting heavy while I lay back in my Recliner last night, I was soon holding Hands with Kathy in Bed. I had not taken any sleep aides the night before and managed a good night sleep, but doing the same thing again, had me was tossing and turning throughout the most of the night.
Getting up shortly after
8:30 I was ready to serve breakfast the moment Kathy woke up. With chores to take care of, after time it was necessary to go wake her up, by repeatedly kissing her like the Sleeping Beauty she resembled.

With our Coffees at the Computers, the moment mine was drank, it was dress up and setup time, converting the table from dining to work.

I had Planned something different for lunch, but Time brought it back to our usual meal on days like this. We shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza. We then cleaned up the Dishes and Kitchen giving me a hidden advantage. When your hands are steaming when you pull them out of the Water, you know they are also clean.

The next Three Hours were used up filling Six-Weeks Worth of Pill Doucettes for the both of us. Kathy’s had a higher concentration of Prescribed Medications with some Vitamins, while mine was mostly Vitamins with a couple of Medications. It took another Hour to log everything into our Medication Spreadsheet, before putting it all away. By knowing exactly what we have in stock, will help me to get things ready for Nine or Ten Weeks to avoid having to do this shortly after my Shoulder Surgery.

For supper we finished eating the last half of the Deli Sandwich we purchased the other evening. Just like the other night we were stuffed and vowed not to purchase another.

With no “Local News” on tonight, we settled in to watch a “Murder Mystery”.

Kathy and I spent nearly an Hour talking before we were interrupted by the sound of Fireworks going off. Looking out the window we could only see a faint glare reflecting off other nearby buildings. They were probably being shot off in the Saint Claire Shores area of Michigan.

The Storms that were forecasted for our area today were a no show, so the Weather Guessers simply rescheduled them for tomorrow.

We’ll see what we can do.

Getting Out While We Could.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

My hope of being able to sleep an entire night in Bed may not be too far away. I was still putting the finishing touches on our Blog last night when Kathy kissed me good night and headed off to Bed. Thirty Minutes later, everything was published and the Computer was being shut down. Record time for what has become my new norm for going to sleep but not in Bed. After taking my necessary medications I needed to tip back in my Recliner in an effort to realign my Neck, Shoulders and Spine. I had not taken any ZzzQuil which had been necessary the last couple of nights, but the moment I began to feel comfortable, I made a quick dash off to Bed.

Kathy and I held hands a few times throughout the night and that seemed to help us both to relax so much, that we didn’t wake until after 8:30. We have slept later after nights that we had trouble sleeping but not on nights that we barely woke. The best part was that it felt wonderful not feeling like we were about to fall sleep in our breakfast.

With The Weather Network and my Radar showing it could be very wet this afternoon, we thought it better to run a simple chores this morning.

We headed out around 11:30 and it actually felt comfortable until we opened the Car doors. If we ever get another vehicle, it will be White.

It was pleasant driving down Riverside Drive, watching the Canadian Geese cleaning the grass at local Parks. With the breeze coming from the south, the Detroit River was smooth as glass.

We were heading to Guardian Storage to collect our Mail but the vehicle that pulled in right ahead of us was none other than the Canada Post delivery itself. Rather than crowding the Office, we continued to our Climate Controlled Unit to add our Shop-Vac I had used to clean the Air Conditioner Sleeve before the High Humidex Days started. With that finished we circled around to check on the Trailer, before collecting our Mail.

Heading back up Jefferson, we stopped at the Pioneer gas station to take advantage of the lower fuel costs. Ten Cents per Litre is Thirty-Eight Cents per US Gallon.

The Clouds were starting to fill the sky, but knowing we might not get out tomorrow, we went to Wendy’s for Chicken Nuggets and Small Frosties for lunch. It seemed the Clouds were starting to darken so we did not stay longer than necessary.

I dropped Kathy at the front entrance before parking the Car. I was surprised to get inside dry but was shocked when I walked into the Apartment to see clear Sunny skies through our Balcony Door.

We finished getting caught up on our E-Reading that actually triggered some curiosity. We turned on a US News Channel that helped us better understand what we read earlier.

It had been Hours since we’d had lunch, so we enjoyed Salmon Fillets, Sauteed Zucchini and Potato Slices for supper. We even topped it off with a small dish of Frozen Chocolate Yogurt for dessert.

We watched the “6 o’clock Local News” before finishing the night off watching a single episode of “Law and Order, Special Victims Unit”.

We can hear distant Thunder but so far everything is dry outside.
