Cooking, Making Services Accountable and Lacrosse.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even with the AC running we occasionally could hear the sounds of the rain against our bedroom window throughout the night. Of course as most people know that also helped us to sleep soundly until 8:00 this morning. Since the storm had cancelled Matthew’s soccer game last night the only thing we could think of this morning was catching up on our blog reading.
Lunch was Chicken Salad with Strawberry Shortcake using Yogurt.
With that completed Kathy went into one of her cooking modes and started going through the fridge to see what she could create. I was given a shopping list of ingredients from the pantry that were suddenly out of stock and off to Metro Grocery Store to retrieve them. In the short time I was gone Kathy already had four meals worked out and was working on the fifth.
Supper was Chicken Pot Pie.
Kathy took a break to have an early lunch going back to our healthy eating in order to lose some of the weight we’d gained this past winter. After that she wasn’t long in getting her Chicken Pot Pie in the oven while the Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup slowly steeped on the burner.
Tyler (Blue #3) getting checked.
I busied myself making an appointment for an oil change for the truck at the dealership before calling Bell our phone provider for explanations about our bill. By the time I was finished I’d negotiated a smaller credit than I’d hoped for but at least they weren’t robbing us blind. Kathy has often pointed out that many people don’t take the time to challenge additional or hidden charges on their bills and the companies make millions $$$ above the cost of the actual services they provide.
Tyler (Blue #3) trying to get the ball.
Once we’d each had a decent sized piece of the Chicken Pot Pie that Kathy made today for supper we were able to ascertain to its high quality and taste. It wasn’t long after that we were on our way to the Forest Glade Arena to watch our grandson Tyler play Lacrosse.
Tyler making the pass.
Due to there being a lot of graduations taking place at this time of year and not all on the same night Tyler’s team had one of their players subbing as the Goaltender for the first time this evening. He did manage to stop quite a number of shots on the net but too many got past him. He did well for his first time guarding the net. Tyler did manage to get two of his team’s four points but also had many that were stopped by the more experienced Goaltender on the other team.
This young Referee had just got hit in the ribs with the Indian Rubber Ball.
Tomorrow we have a few errands to run before I can start ticking a few things off our To-Do list on the truck and trailer that have to be finished before we leave on our next adventure this summer. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Yep we know all about companies adding in additional costs that we never mentioned about before getting the service, mainly our grief is with Canadian Tire on that one. BTW, it Kevin talked to the head automotive guy at head office today and we are getting a $35 gift card sent to us for technically charging us twice on the set up for the wheel alignment. Glad you were able to get Bell to give you a credit, even though it wasn't as much as you wanted.

That chicken pot pie looks delicious!
