Our Location today is Jacksonville,
Florida.
Last night the temperatures dipped down into the mid 40’s;
but before going to bed Kathy had insisted we didn’t need any heat on. I was
not the only one who was cold most of the night. This morning after finding out
at breakfast that she was as cold as I was the decision was made to run the electric
heater tonight. As we slowly work our way north heading home we have to keep
ourselves warm at night or we’ll be sick before we get there.
Read the tailgate. This guy even advertises. |
We have plenty of privacy even though the site is tight. |
Just some of Kathy's precooking. |
Since we’ll be leaving tomorrow we thought today would make
a good chore day. I sorted the laundry and was out the door by 10:30 but wasn’t surprised when I got to the
laundry room it was packed. As I bided my time I finally got all the wash going
but was really surprised that I had used my entire normal laundry budget just
on our washing alone and this was one of our smaller wash days.
Lunch was Pancakes with mixed berries and whipped cream. |
I headed back to the trailer to get more change where I found
Kathy busy precooking some of our meals which is also a great way of not
letting anything spoil in the refrigerator. By the time I returned after
starting to dry the clothes she had finished vacuuming the trailer and made
lunch.
Licensed Restaurant in the park. |
There was a problem with one of the dryers I used which
meant I had to run the load a second time but it was still quicker than most
times at home. Once I had finished putting the clothes away and repacking the
basement we decided to go to Walmart to check something out.

This is what one of our neighbors calls a barbecue. |
Those of you that have been reading our post for a while
know that we sold our home and moved into an apartment in Tecumseh,
Ontario. Every year our rent is increased
by certain percentage it is variable per year; according to law so we are
continuing our quest to downsize even more. One of the things we need to downsize
was our big Stainless Steel Barbecue which took up way too much space on our
balcony. After bartering it off we needed to replace it with something much smaller
so today we landed a good deal on a Weber 120 with stand, 20 pound propane tank
and adapter hose. Even with the exchange
on our dollar it was still cheaper buying it hear in Florida
then back home.
I didn't use the Weber stand today. |
Steak, Brussell Sprouts, Spinach, Spanish Rice and Coconut Cream Pie. |
Back at the trailer it must have taken me 5 minutes to
unpack and assemble the unit but the best part was testing it to be certain it
worked the way it was supposed to. Even if I do say so myself it performed very
well. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and
Enjoy!
It’s about time.

ReplyDeleteBusy day!! We're been toying with the idea of getting a Weber Q to replace our current grill . . . but just haven't done it yet. Safe travels as you make your way home!!
