Tired Surgery Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Well they say three strikes and you’re out. I’m hoping that it’s true because I had another wakeful night. I’m also trying a small glass of wine to help me to relax.
Of course today was a day we needed to set the alarm because we were having a guest today. Tyler was spending the day with Grandma and Grandpa because his sister Kylla was having surgery today on her knee out of town. Back in March she went on a school trip skiing in Montreal. The bindings didn’t release and at first it was thought that she had just stretched the tendons in her knee but with a M.R.I. they could see she had completely tore the ACL in her left knee. Here’s the link to that.
We tried to play some movies for Tyler to watch but when the installer wired the Satellite in January he wired it different than I would have but he assured me it would work okay. It didn’t and tomorrow I’ll wire it my way to see if that will work better.
After lunch Tyler and I went downstairs to use the indoor pool but Kathy remained in the apartment due to the cold bug Tyler gave to her this past weekend in Niagara Falls. Due to other medical conditions she is very susceptible to catching things but it also takes longer to get rid of them. Good thing she didn’t come because the water was actually cold so we didn’t stay too long.
Tyler found some cartoons on television to watch and I went back to work on the computer. After supper Kathy relaxed watching her mystery program while Tyler watched a movie that he had found on the listing and I played a few games on the computer.
Around 7:00 Karen called to say the surgery went well but Kylla was still in recovery and then once she was released they’d be heading back home.  It was after 9:00 when we got the call they were home. Unfortunately the medication she had been given for the surgery was reacting and she was spending more time being sick than relaxing. Now it will take about six months for her knee to totally heal which is hard for a teenager that was active in school sports.
We are now 18 days before our next adventure in September and looking forward to it plus it is only 129 days left until Christmas Day. Have you stated your shopping yet? We have! Be Safe and Enjoy! Thanks for following our adventures.

It’s about time.

  1. Try a LARGE glass of wine and see if that helps if the little one didn't. Adventures seem to come and go all the time .. just 18 days for the next one is just around the corner. Enjoy!
