Cleaning Up.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We were both surprised that we slept in until 8:30 this morning. We didn’t work that hard outside yesterday but we did have our windows open all night. Guess we’ll just have to give credit to all the Fresh Air we breathed all night for feeling so refreshed. After eating our normal breakfast we did our usual morning Coffee/ Tea while sitting at our Computers to get our reading in.  At least I did because Kathy’s Computer decided to do an update which was bad enough as we’ve seen some Updates take up to hour.

When we started our Patio Extension we had to put some of our normal routine chores on hold so today was the day to get caught up. After reading my E-mails and checking the weather I went upstairs to start changing the Bed Linens. They had been there for ten days so it was time to do them along with the rest of our laundry.

While I was making those changes to the bed Kathy was about to use my Computer to check her E-mail when she found out there was no Internet Connection. That meant her Computer couldn’t complete its update until it reconnected with the Server. Cable 1 has been having lots of problems this year but have been busy replacing a lot of their Feeds and Amplifiers.

By 10:00 the Temperature and Humidity were really making things sticky and Kathy was having a hard time to breath so I turned the A.C. on and started closing up the windows. I also took a few minutes to call our Pharmacy in Amherstburg to order our next Ninety Day supply of medication. It is actually a few days early but this gives them the time to send a FAX to Kathy’s Family Doctor, get the response by the weekend then have it filled by the beginning of next week.

With the laundry sorted and treated I was just about to head over to the Park Laundry Room when Kathy said it was lunch time. Knowing we still needed energy Kathy kept it light with Ham on Weigh-Watchers Bread, with a side of Cole-Slaw and a Bean Salad. She also topped some Yogurt with Pineapple for our dessert.

I was lucky when I arrived at the Laundry Room because nobody else was there. I used as many Washers as I needed and had everything transferred to the Dryers within the hour. While the clothes began drying I walked back Home with the Delicates. After hanging them to dry in the shower I spent a few minutes catching up on reading that I missed this morning.
Checking out the trees.
I got back to the Laundry Room in time to see the dryers shutting down one by one. Luckily today’s Humidex only reached 95 F (35 C) and there was a slight breeze coming in the windows. I surprised myself by getting everything folded in just over an hour’s time.

Walking back Home with the Laundry in our Shopping Cart I saw Mike and his Wife sitting outside their RV. Having worked with Mike for nearly Twenty Years we got to be good friends. After listening to Kathy and I about going Fulltime last year they finally sold their House and he will be Officially Retired on September 1st. They have a lot of places they want to go to and explore. They also know they can’t do it all at once. We’ll see more of them in September.

It was after 5:00 when I walked in the door and Kathy had been busy. I was told to get washed up because supper was ready. She had cooked up Spare-Ribs with Garlic Pasta, Brussels Sprouts and a Tomato for sides. Everything was Delicious and Filling.

While we were watching the 6 o’clock News, Mary from Healthy Heals called to verify Kathy’s rescheduled appointment for tomorrow.
Checking the Quality (Taste) of the Grass.
Even though it seemed like we didn’t do much today we were doing what most would say was Catching Up. Tomorrow we’ll see what we can do to start scratching more things off of our original To-Do List so just maybe we’ll be able to start enjoying some more leisure time. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
