Slowdown Getting Chores Done and More Unexpected Cable Problems.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

After another restful nights sleep we were both up before 8:00 this morning. Even when we went to bed last night the Humidex was still sitting around the 90 F (32 C) mark so we figured it was easier to leave the Air Conditioner on. When we looked at the local forecast for today it didn’t take long to start opening windows and letting all the fresh air we could start flowing into the trailer. Once the windows were open the sound of the birds serenading the Sun as it shone brightly without a cloud in the Sky filled the air.

We had finished our morning reading and chores when Kathy suggested that I do our laundry this morning rather then waiting until after lunch. It sounded like a good idea so that was what I did. Since we will have to empty our Fridge and Freezer when our trailer goes in for the Warranty Repair so Kathy set up a Pork Roast and the fixings in the Crock Pot for supper while I started sorting the laundry. I was on my way to the Park Laundry Room minutes after 11:00.

As soon as I arrived I started doubting my decision but since I had pretreated certain articles of clothing knew that they could not remain unwashed for very long. Since this had been a long weekend someone had left their clothes in Two Washers so I got two loads started before someone else emptied another machine on the other side of the room. Once the clothes were ready for the dryers I had one machine on the top at one end of the Dryer Bank while the other was on the bottom at the other end. As I was about to bring the delicates back Home the person who had tied up the two washers showed up and started complaining that there were no dryers. Someone told them it was a Laundry Room not a Laundromat
Perogies with Sour Cream and Cheese along with a Salad.
Kathy had gotten things ready to make lunch so as soon as I walked in the door she finished cooking up Perogies to go with the Salad she had already made. It was Tasty, Refreshing and Satisfying. I barely had time to eat before having to head back but I didn’t get too far when one of our new neighbours welcomed me to the neighbourhood. We’ll get a chance to talk another day.

While folding our clothes I was speaking with Lancia about the problems getting the laundry started this morning. That was when she said she never starts her laundry before noon for exactly that reason. Something to think about in the future.

I was back Home by 2:00 and once I had the clothes put away Kathy had a banking issue for me to deal with. This is something that most everyone reading this post can personally relate to. If you purchase something using a Credit or Debit Card they are always quick to charge it to your account but when you make your payment they take days before they credit your account, also one institution blames the other for the problems when in fact they are sitting on your money and capitalizing off of it. They were warned of what they can do if they try tacking any extra fees on as well.

Just after getting that all settled our Internet went down again. When I called Chris at Cable 1 he said he was in the Park dealing with a contractor who just dug up the main feed. More Down Time!
Roast Pork, Potatoes, Carrots, Celery, Onions and Gravy.
Supper tasted great and we had a satisfying meal. The best part is there are enough leftovers for a few more meals.  After we finished washing the dishes we sat down to watch the 6 o’clock News. It wasn’t until after it was finished that the Internet came back into service.

Tomorrow we have lots to take care of. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. How long have you been waiting now for those repairs?

  2. Ugh! Emptying the RV for a trip to the shop. We've all been there, but that doesn't make it any easier. Hopefully the repairs go quickly so you can get back to "wheel living". :c)
