Mellowing.

Our Location today is Fidelity, Missouri, U.S.A.

After arriving here at Ballard’s Campground later than we would have liked to on a normal travel day we made the decision to stay put and just mellow out. Even though we had nothing pressing to do we both managed to sleep just past 8:00 CDST this morning. What felt quite nice was the fact that even though we were further north the night time temperatures only dipped into the mid-sixties making sleeping with the roof vents open very comfortable.
Once breakfast was finished we moved to the Computers to finish our morning Coffee/Tea and start checking what is going on in the world around us. After checking the weather forecasts and E-mail we thought that we would do some minor maintenance.
With just under six thousand miles on our Trailer we were surprised to be finding things falling apart from the road vibration. When the 120 volt Ceiling Fan was installed at the factory it seems someone may have forgotten to properly tighten the screws holding the blades on. Finding a screw on the floor and a blade just dangling was not what we wanted to see but we did. They won’t be coming off anytime soon. The next thing was refastening our bathroom mirror. When Kathy went into the bathroom yesterday as we were setting up she found the Drawer below our Linen Closet had opened from all the bouncing around and the fallen Mirror was safely sitting among its contents.
After accomplishing a few other well needed adjustments I started getting caught up on my Blog Reading. I have mentioned this many times in some of our past Blog posts, if your blog is on our sidebar I will read it. With the long travel days over last few days I needed to get caught up on a lot of reading.
The best part of this laid back day was eating strictly homemade meals and being able to keep them lite and simple. This has given us a chance to destress from the challenges of some of the inconsiderate drivers that have been cutting us off which I’m certain happens to all other RV drivers. “Rant Over!”
Tomorrow we’ll be back on the road slowly working our way back to McGregor in Ontario. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
