White Stuff and Trailer News.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Normally the sound of rain gently falling outside our windows at night helps Kathy sleep fairly soundly. Last night it was too cold to have the windows open and we were getting Lake Effect White Stuff falling but the effect was an even sounder sleep for us. I was wide awake by 7:00 and Kathy actually slept an hour longer.

Looking out the windows this morning we didn’t see a large amount of misery awaiting. If we were to need the use our vehicles they were still slightly white and would need cleaning off. By turning on the Weather Channel it made us thankful to be indoors and out of the breeze because even though the temperature was at 28 F (-2 C) the Wind Chill felt like 14 F (-10C) with identical temperatures returning for tomorrow. The need for going out was definitely ruled out.

At the computers we got our reading completed and it wasn’t long that Kathy was back fine tuning her research on our upcoming trip to Florida. I looked out the windows and noted that there were less vehicles in the lot and the sun was out and that the white stuff wasn’t melting off our car and truck. I broke down and dug my brown winter jacket out from the back of the closet and went out to clean them off. It was a wise choice because there was actually frost beginning to form on the inside of the windows so by cleaning the outside the sun warmed the windows enough to clean the inside. After checking if the mail had arrived I went back to the apartment grateful that it was warmer than outside.

After lunch I had a few phone calls to make and the last one was to General RV to talk with Sid. As soon as I said who it was he informed me that he was just about to call us. The insurance adjuster had seen the trailer and authorized the repairs at their quoted price. Because we brought the trailer State Side for the repair State Farm had to send a US adjuster to verify what the Canadian adjuster had already noted. They are expecting the parts to be there by the weekend and the trailer minus the warranty work on the walls could be finished by next weekend. That sounds good to us because that will mean we can bring the trailer back to the storage yard and get it ready for our upcoming trip.

Kathy cooked some nice Salmon fillets and noodles for supper. Tomorrow even though it will be as cold as today it will be a busy day. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
