The Magic’s Gone.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

The magic is gone or should I say the Witchcraft. Both Kathy and I spent most of the night tossing and turning after having had one night of restful sleep lately. When I finally got up it was fairly dark considering the sun had not yet risen. Kathy finally fell into a deep sleep just before 7:00 so she slept in until nearly 9:00.

After opening the blinds and drapes to let the darkness in I just sat back to watch the Weather Channel. The upper fifty to low sixty degree temperatures of the last few days are now just a memory and we probably won’t see those again until early spring in this area. Continuing to watch the Weather Channel while having breakfast they kept saying there was possibility of s@#w not too far to our north and that is just a matter of time before it gets here. The magic is truly gone.

We weren’t on the computers long when we both started researching information we needed. My research was just data that I needed for my spreadsheet file. Kathy was once again researching places and things for us to do while down in Florida this coming winter. She makes certain that we’ll both be interested in the activity and then that it won’t break the bank. There were quite a few things added to our curriculum and others that were discarded. We have heard of some people going south for the winter and saying they were bored and had nothing to do. That is never the case when Kathy plans a trip. We actually look forward to downtime.

After lunch we figure on visiting our friends Kathie and Ross at their apartment. Kathie was having a total knee replacement done on October 23rd and should have been home convalescing. When we got there Christine their daughter was cleaning the apartment and informed me the surgery had be rescheduled to this past Thursday October the 31st. We’ll just have to wait a few more weeks to visit.

Since the sky had a threatening look to it all day we went nearby to Walmart to do some store walking. They are now into full Christmas mode here in Canada. We walked the aisles that were passable and returned to walk the others as they opened up. We looked at things that if our need ever arose for them we would at least know that they exist and maybe where to find them. We did however did not walk out empty handed as we picked up a loaf of bread that was needed.

When the time came to head for home the rain that was falling compared to a tropical storm. We managed to get home without getting too wet and as we sat discussing what we will probably do tomorrow if the rain stops. The sun never once made an appearance here today. The magic is certainly gone.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back tonight as we fall back an hour to Standard Time. There goes the Magic. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

What did one elevator say to the other?

I think I'm coming down with something.

  1. You're right. Once the s@#w flies, the magic is over.

Thanks for the reminder about the clocks. An extra hour of sleep is always welcomed.

  3. We lived in Florida 30 years and still never run out of things to do. I hope you'll get a chance to visit some of the beautiful springs in the north central area of the state. There are a lot of them, some more beautiful than the others.
