Errands and Searching.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Yes we are both finally sleeping better at night and slightly later in the morning. Unfortunately that caused a slight problem this morning. Kathy had blood work that needed to be done this morning and she had to fast and when she can't eat I won’t eat. Even though we slept later she really didn’t have a set time to be there but the later you arrive chances are there is a longer line-up ahead of you.

Shortly after 10:00 we were leaving the clinic and we went to A&W to have breakfast. At this point I can imagine my friend Ernie laughing because yes we did use a coupon and for $7.35 including tax we both had a Bacon N Egger, Hash Browns and Medium Coffees. We were satisfied enough to continue on our errands.

We were on our way to a Services Ontario Center when I suggested first stopping and walking around Princess Auto for exercise. While there I made it known to Kathy something I had seen and suggested finding some replacements.

Unfortunately we couldn’t find what we wanted so Kathy suggested a store at the Devonshire Mall. We had just made it up the Escalator to the second floor when it went down. Not finding what we needed we received more exercise taking the stairs back down to the main floor. Brainstorming about where we should further look we went to Mark’s Work Wearhouse. We found what we were looking for and hope this will work. Since it was well past noon we stopped at the food court and split a submarine sandwich. Unlike breakfast we had no coupons for lunch.
With no real plans for the afternoon we went to the west side Walmart for further walking and searching for a few more things Kathy decided would be wise for us to take with us to Florida. We lucked out and within minutes we were about to head for the checkout when we ran into Doug Knight a fellow retiree from Ford’s. We were talking about what they are doing and then what we’ve been doing with our travels just like a sit down visit.
By the time we did reach the Services Ontario Center there was quite a lineup but it moved fairly quickly. We needed to apply for Kathy’s new Health card and her Driver’s license so we won’t be in a panic to get them when we return from Florida in April. It only took fifteen minutes from the time we walked in to the time we were finished but we didn’t leave that fast. As we were leaving there was Rick Rivait who I used to work with. He had just gotten off work and we were telling him about our travels when a woman standing in front of him said she’d like to travel like that. It ended up where I was talking to Rick and Kathy was talking to this woman who was a total stranger for about five minutes before we headed for home.
Finally back at the apartment we finally got our morning reading completed before Kathy made Macaroni and Cheese along with Roast Beef sandwiches for supper. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. That seems like an expensive breakfast to me, I made two bacon, egg and cheese on an english muffin, homemade hash browns and coffees for about two dollars here at home.
But looks like you had a fun time, out and about.

  2. Several times we have found ourselves explaining our travels to complete strangers. So neat to know that others really wish they could travel as we do.
