Errands, Sunshine and Visiting.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

By the time we got home from Karen and Greg’s last night we posted later than normal and it wasn’t long that we were settled in bed for a good night’s sleep. Yes we did sleep until after 7:30 this morning before we finally started making breakfast. By 9:30 we completed our morning reading and Kathy found something she needed to research while I took my morning shower and shave. I waited until after 11:00 to check the mail downstairs where I ran into the manager Lynn and asked how soon we should give her our mailbox key before we leave. That is the nice part of living in this apartment. They collect our mail for us while we are gone so none of our kids have to take care of it for us.

Getting back to the apartment Kathy informed me that Tyler had forgotten his lunch at home because he was thinking more about his school project that he had to carry. It didn’t take long to get to their house where we were greeted by Sanford who was happy to have our company even if it was for only a few minutes. Next was the short drive to the school where Kathy brought Tyler’s lunch to the office. When she returned she reported that he wasn’t the only child who had forgotten their lunch today. We really didn’t mind as the weather was cool but with only a slight breeze and the sun was shining brightly making it very comfortable outside.

After we ate lunch I brought the sewing machine out to the dining room table as Kathy had some sewing she wanted to do before we leave for Florida. While she was sewing I did up the morning dishes so we could eat supper out tonight. Once she had finished her chore we managed to watch another Christmas Special on television. Since this is Wednesday we left early to enjoy the sunshine and go to The Michigan Diner where we enjoyed their fish and chips senior supper.

Once supper was over we drove out to Amherstburg for our weekly visit with Kevin and Melissa. We made arrangements that I will help Kevin next week to get things around the house and garage ready for the upcoming winter. Of course we always have a wonderful visit filled with laughter and love.

Tomorrow I have a few chores to tend to but the one that I’m looking forward to is hearing how our trailer is coming along as our departure day nears. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Chronic Office Overload Syndrome The office environment has an impact on every facet of our lives: our diets are dictated by the limited repertoire of the cafeteria chef or the office's proximity to a McDonald's. Our friendships are forged in accordance with office hierarchies, and our free time is structured by office sanctioned annual leave. Our clothes are office clothes, our gossip is office gossip, even the air we breathe-recycled thirty-eight times through the bacteria-infested air conditioning unit-is office air. Is it any wonder we struggle to survive in such stifling conditions?

  1. A few more errands done while you are in the area and getting ready to hit the road again.
