Errands, Relaxing and Helping

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

Within minutes of one another we were both up shortly after 7:00 this morning. This is something we don’t really need to be doing at the apartment since we are both retired and we try to book appointments for late morning or early afternoon. The positive side of it is this will be easier for us to survive getting up early when we head south following Christmas.

Today is less windy with cooler temperatures but the best part is that we are seeing the sun in all its brilliance for the first time in days. After having breakfast and reading our list of morning blogs that we follow (if it’s on our sidebar we follow it) it was time for me to make some phone calls.

The first was to General RV since it has been eight days since I last spoke to them. I was surprised when the person that answered the phone right off the bat was the manager Bill Brown. After a little idle chat where I thanked Bill for getting things moving for me he assured me the trailer was in the shop where the Insurance Work has been done except painting. He recommended that I speak to Sid who was away for additional training when he returns on Thursday. We also spoke of my warranty issues and how I can probably get Keystone to repair it. I have been a squeaky wheel in the past and I got the repairs that should have happened without any complaints.

Now I headed over to the Local to purchase tickets for the Retiree’s Christmas Party. I was surprised to see my friend Ernie there but as he said he likes to stay involved and what he was doing was not stressful and it helps keep his mind off his health issues.

Back at the apartment I called Cory at SX Video telling him of the problem that we continue to have with Kathy’s new laptop. It seems that when it goes to sleep the only way that it will wake up is to pull the battery and then restart it. Cory explained a step by step to me on the phone and as of this moment the problem has gone away and we didn’t have to drive all the way out to Essex. Thanks Cory!

For a change of pace Kathy and I watched a Christmas Special this afternoon as a way of relaxing. We also went back to the computers until it was time to have supper. Once the dishes were finished we went over to our daughter Karen’s to help her organize her computer desk.

While I was organizing the wiring Kathy and Karen were sorting through old files. They even went through an old metal file cabinet that was moved from the basement of their old home to the basement of their present home. We had brought our paper shredder with us so once I had finished with the wiring I busied myself getting rid of out of date personal papers.

Back home we feel a good kind of tired and we should be sleeping fairly soon. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
