Errands, Chores and Good Food.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We still didn’t sleep that great last night but at least it was better than Thursday night’s sleep. Unfortunately when your sleep is disrupted the end result is that you will sleep later in the morning so I was up shortly after 8:00 and Kathy was past 9:00 before she was able to wake herself.
With rain being predicted for the entire day and we were looking at clear skies out the balcony door while having our breakfast we thought of running a few errands before the rain did show up. Our first stop was at a local farmers market that recently opened. Their prices were reasonable and quality was good.
Around the corner we stopped to fill the car with gas. Since most of its recent travels in the last few weeks have been back and forth to doctors appointments in the city we have mostly used the car because it is much more economical than the truck.
From there we headed to the Zehr’s grocery store to pick up all the needed supplies to see us through the next two weeks. We even got a couple of frozen pizzas so that we’ll be able to try our pizza stone out on our Weber Q. If we can master the use of it while we are at home we know we’ll be enjoying it when we head out of town and bring it along.
It was nearly 1:00 by the time we had the groceries all put away and started to make lunch. Once we were finished Kathy needed a Snap while I went back to modifying the license bracket I had worked on yesterday. The bracket itself was too wide and was made of plastic so it took me nearly an hour to whittle it down to size using a utility knife. Once that was completed and I’d cleaned the mess I’d made I went outside to install it on the truck. The wind was starting to blow pretty hard but still no rain. When I went to install the secondary bracket in place it wouldn’t fit because I now have to modify the original bracket.
My hernia was starting to bother me so I went in the apartment just in time to get a call from our daughter Karen. She and Greg had been invited this afternoon to a surprise birthday party tonight. Kylla our granddaughter had worked from 7:00 until 2:00 this afternoon at McDonalds and needed a ride to her second job for 6:00 tonight until midnight. I said no problem.
Kathy and I had eaten a light breakfast and lunch and since I’d be home late for supper we decided to eat supper out. After we dropped Kylla off at her second job we headed over to East Side Mario’s for supper. We still had a gift card to use so not only did we not have to cook or do the dishes we had a very deliciously filling meal at a very good price.
As we were leaving the restaurant it finally started to rain. I had to activate the wipers to give the windshield an entire two swipes before it stopped raining. Who knows what we’ll be doing tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
