What Rain?

Our Location today is Bushnell, Florida.

After posting yesterday’s blog I took a little ribbing about being responsible for the rain because I had washed the truck. I myself have bestowed such accusations on other bloggers even one that was responsible for a snow storm. Since Monday evening news reports have shown a storm front heading our way from the Gulf of Mexico with its predicted start last night and going straight through the day on Friday. Florida is definitely in need of precipitation and we got a good dose of it last night. When we got up this morning to an overcast sky but it wasn’t raining.
These guys were looking for food after last night's rain.
I was busy making more data entries.
Since our departure from Breezy Oaks RV Park is slated for Friday morning (tomorrow) I managed to get a lot of the outdoor preparations done yesterday before the rain came our way. This morning I even managed to hook up the truck to the trailer because we had no plans of going anywhere before tomorrow and it was supposed to start raining nonstop shortly after lunch throughout the night. Anybody with a trailer knows how much of a pain it is to hook up in the rain so now we don’t have to worry about that. The rain started almost on schedule this afternoon but only lasted an hour.
Afternoon rain. Notice our truck is not in the picture like yesterday.
We had already spent most of the day on the computers and were starting to feel closed in. So after the rain had been stopped for a while and the puddles had dried up we went for a walk around the park for the last time this year. The sky continued to be menacing but we remained dry.
Nice Creamy Garlic Pasta, an Orange and Chocolate Cupcake for supper.
Back at the trailer we were again enjoying a sensibly sized supper when I happened to see something large and white fly by our rear window. This was unusual at this park but one of Florida’s native birds decided to come and check out the pond behind our trailer. Unfortunately he seemed camera shy and decided to leave and return another day.

Come morning rain or shine we’ll be on the road slowly winding our way towards home. We’ll still be making stops as we go and exploring new destinations as we travel. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  2. Great shot of the bird with it's reflection in the water. I especially like photos of birds in flight.
