Busy Day But Exploration Postponed

Our Location today is Tarpon Springs, Florida.

This morning I actually slept in probably because I haven’t be sleeping very well. I only woke one time through the night because I was chilly and discovered our warm comforter piled on the floor. After recovering the bed with Kathy in it I had no problem going back to sleep. For Kathy it was her night to be sleepless because she kept waking up thinking of things to do and could not fall back to sleep. When she finally did fall asleep she kept on feeling cold to the point that when she woke up this morning  after I had left the room she had no covers on her.

We thought that we’d head out and explore the area but got sidetracked watching the Inaugural swearing in of the President and Vice President of the United States which lasted past lunchtime even though the News Commentator said it was the shortest speech ever given by any President in the history of the United States. Besides the Inauguration it was also a National holiday celebrating Martin Luther King.

As we were finishing our lunch there was a knock on the door from the campground manager. We were getting a new neighbor next to us and he was worried about hooking our truck so they asked if we would mind moving it until he got into his site. The gentleman was by himself and his site had trees that made it hard to back in so Kathy and I both were out there to help him back in.
You could tell today was a holiday, there was very little traffic on the city streets.
Once that was done it was past 2:00 and we needed some supplies so we just set the GPS for the first store and found all the stores we had planned on visiting in the same parking lot. By 4:00 we were on our way back to the trailer with our supplies which included frozen foods.

By the time we put everything away a cold breeze was coming from the cloud covering that suddenly blanketed the area and it was time for supper so we enjoyed our meal with the promise to be out much earlier tomorrow to do the exploring we missed today. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. There were a couple people asking where you guys were at the RV show get together. Good turnout. We'll do it again next year. We'll try to find some place to meet so we can talk longer, there's so many people it's hard to keep the tables very long. We're coming to your area before we leave in April, I'll stay in touch.
