Winning Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Kathy and I both slept until after 8:00 this morning. That may seem to be a good thing but when you are awake most of the night it is not. It’s now only 7 days before our next adventure and back to sleeping the way we are supposed to all night.
Computer room at the Orthodontist for you to use.
Another thing that happens in 7 days is the beginning of another school year here in Canada. This means all the elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges and university are back to teaching our youth. This also means that the stores will be busy selling all kinds of school supplies causing major voids in many pocketbooks.
Back this spring Kathy and I had brought our grandson Tyler to his Orthodontist’s. For months they were having all the kids with appointments fill in chances to winning a backpack filled with back to school supplies. They had to guess the number of swimming goggles that were in a jar. With a little help from grandpa his guess was the only correct answer. If there had been multiple correct answers the names would have all been put in a hat and the winner drawn from them.

Karen our daughter was back to work this week when she received a call saying Tyler had won the contest. Since she works in administration at the University of Windsor and students are registering for all their classes this is a week she’d never get off to go with him to claim his prize.

So this morning Kathy and I had to pick up Tyler and bring him to his Orthodontist for an appointment to pick up his prize. Every year this Orthodontist does this to help a child be ready for the upcoming school year. This package is not a dollar store bargain package but from a local office supply worth well over a $100.00. They even took a picture to add to their collection of children that have won in the past. A high-school student would have been happy with this package.
This is also the same place I wrote about in a past blog of how they are set up to keep the kids calm and relaxed for their appointments. There is free WiFi if the parent or guardian needs to work while their child is there. There are two computers to use if you didn’t bring your own. There are televisions, play rooms for tykes and a games room for the older children.
Playroom for younger tykes.
While dropping Tyler back home we visited with Kylla for a few minutes and her knee is healing nicely. In total we were gone from home less than an hour but it was worth it to see the smile on the face of a very happy boy.
Swelling gone and she's doing good in Physiotherapy

After lunch it was back to work on the computer where Kathy continued researching and I worked on a photo file. Around 3:30 we each needed to have a nap to try and recover some of the sleep we didn’t get last night. With the supper dishes washed and put away it is now time to wind up our day.

Just so you don’t forget there are now only 118 days left until Christmas Day and Thanks for following along. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

What do you mean by telling everyone that I'm an idiot?

I'm sorry! I didn't know it was supposed to be a secret!

  1. All of our 4 children had braces in their day, and they each had a pleasant experience of it. Their orthodontist was very progressive and made each office visit very pleasant.
