Last week I developed a Pain in my mouth that had never happen before. Salt-Water Rinses did little to ease things, so I had no other choice but to call our Dental Office. Unfortunately, the soonest they could see me was this Monday, so it was not a comfortable weekend.
This past Monday afternoon, due to more Construction Detours, we managed to arrive just on time for my appointment. After explaining the problem to Glen the Denturist, he made careful observations of my problem, before heading off to modify my Upper Denture. When he returned and slipped my Denture back in, it was like a cushion had been inserted. According to Glen, as we age our Gums begin to shrink causing the unforgiving plate to tear into the delicate tissues. He recommended that I continue doing the Saltwater Rinses to heal the Gums thoroughly.
Since we were in Amherstburg, we stopped into our son Kevin’s for a short visit. Cameron, having a lot of upper body strength, was careful not to overdo his hugs for both Kathy and myself. Before leaving, I quietly said hello to our daughter-in-law Melissa. She works a couple days a week in her Home-Office before finishing the week in the City.
On the way home, with Accident-Detours Wendy’s was where we had our supper.
We made Plans to do the laundry on Tuesday. It was still my job to sort and treat the clothes, before we headed downstairs. Other than a single Dryer going when we arrived, we were alone. With some coaching, we worked together to get the task completed. The big difference was Kathy needed to fold the shirts, while I single handedly folded the necessities.
Back in the Apartment, we both needed a break before putting things away. Looking outside, the clear blue sky brought record breaking temperatures for an early November day. Kathy was in no mood to go for a walk.
As forecasted, we woke to a very wet Thursday morning. The day would lead to on and off Rain throughout the day. I had my On-Line Questionnaire completed before Kathy came out to join me.
Arriving at the Canadian Blood Services building early. Kathy insisted on reading in the Car, while I went in. Due to the closeness of my Surgery, they Suspended my ability to donate until January, saying my body needed the properties of my Plasma to heal.
Kathy was surprised when I came out so soon. Since it was still Raining, we headed to Wendy’s for an early lunch, before going to Zehr’s grocery store to pick up a few things. By the time those were put away, I needed a Snap.
Karen called apologizing that she’s had a busy week. Kathy was glad to hear from her.
We have more appointments tomorrow.

Why does putting a car in reverse make you nostalgic?
It takes you back.
