Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
Finally we are starting to get the hang of sleeping in the apartment. That is two nights in a row that we slept fairly sound and actually feel rested when we wake up. Too bad that will all change when we leave for our next adventure in 9 days.

One of the ways we entertain ourselves when we are back home is to find things to do that are not too costly or free. Sounds like we are being cheap but we’re not just frugal. We try to save our money for the important things in our lives and one such thing on our list is travelling to places we have never been and exploring those areas.
Yesterday afternoon we walked around Lacasse Park in the town of Tecumseh enjoying our local celebrations. When we had stopped at our daughter Karen’s not only did we see how the family was doing we also wished Greg our Son-in-Law an early Happy Birthday for today.

Today we travelled far and wide to the Town of Amherstburg (25 miles) to see what they had to offer as far as inexpensive entertainment. We stopped at our son Kevin’s to wish him a Happy Birthday. That is right both Greg and Kevin have the same birthday and sometimes we even celebrate them together. We talked for a few minutes and then headed off.

Amherstburg was also having a two day fundraising weekend being held at the historic Fort Malden. Art by the River was a collection of local artist selling their wares and services. The arts varied from pottery, pet treats and clothing, photographs, jewelry, soaps, candles, clothing, to metal lawn sculptures. There was far less food vendors then we had seen yesterday but there were dedicated eating areas to keep the food away from the merchandise.
Since our visit to this event was more a way of getting out and as
Shoeless Joe would say
Enjoying the Good Life than a shopping expedition we were on our way back to the apartment by 3:30 and we had only spent $6.00 for two Ice Cream Cones.

Once we were home I grilled a couple of hamburgers on the barbecue while Kathy made the salad and side dishes for supper.

After supper we managed to accomplish more work on the computers before calling it a night. Thanks for following along and don’t forget there are only 120 days left until Christmas Day. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
