Miserable Rainy Days and Glad To Be Home.

By the time I left my shift at Work on Wednesday it felt good to change my clothes before leaving the building. Kathy was waiting for me out in the parking lot just as planned but it was raining quite hard. I managed to get only slightly wet running to the Car. As mentioned the other day we had a couple of appointments and with me driving I knew we wouldn’t be late or sidetracked due to detours.

We arrived at the first location only to sit in the Car looking at an empty parking lot and a locked building. When I called their Phone number I was informed that the agent we were seeing Melissa had left early due to the weather and would reschedule us for another day. The least she could have done was to call us before we drove through this weather.
We had time before our next appointment so we thought about having supper. Being close to Fast Food Alley we had our choice so Kathy chose Taco Bell. It had been a while and when the young person at the Cash asked if we wanted Fries to make it a Combo we both said yes. Hey we were celebrating the Twentieth Anniversary of our First Date so we were splurging. By the time we finished eating just by adding those Fries we were both feeling stuffed.

Our next stop was disappointing because what we had gone for had already been taken.

Finally we went to check out where another advertisement had indicated they had what we wanted but we couldn’t get an appointment so we left our Contact Information.

It was nearly 7:00 when we stopped at our daughter’s house in Tecumseh only to find Sanford home alone. Of course he brought out his last Toy we gave him so he automatically got a treat. We then left a Birthday Card for our grandson Tyler who turned Eighteen on Wednesday.
Wednesday's Rain.
We made a quick stop at Guardian Storage to collect our Mail before heading back to Work to pick up the Truck. We were so exhausted by the time we got Home I couldn’t compose the Blog.

Today was an interesting day at Work. It rained the entire day. I welded both the Frames for the Third and Fourth Aluminium Projects. When I started assembling the Floor Pans the parts were different and the Owner was not there to verify the changes because he was at the other plant. The Supervisor asked us all to take a few minutes to clean our areas because a New Client was coming for a tour. That was when I turned around to see a large puddle developing by the TIG Welding Machine.

If you recall I replaced a severely damaged TIG Torch Lead with a slightly used one that only had a slight blemish. It turned out that slight blemish was worse then it appeared and was now spraying coolant. After mopping up the floor I was in the process of replacing the TIG Torch Lead when the New Client walked by. I made a joke about bad timing for a machine breakdown and he just laughed.

It was almost noon when the Owner showed up and when I mentioned the different parts and possible changes he immediately brought out the new Prints. We discussed what other changes would need to take place as well.
Today's Rain.
When I spoke to Kathy the place we had left the Contact Information had called to schedule a Monday appointment and that it never stopped raining the entire morning.

The rest of the day I was busy repairing another TIG Torch that was causing a problem. It felt good to go Home at the end of the Shift.
After talking for a bit Kathy made up Pulled Pork Sandwiches along with Macaroni and Cheese for supper. After enjoying our meal we cleaned up the Dishes before I got caught up on our Expenditure Spreadsheet data entries. With a change of medication Kathy plans on staying close to Home for the next few days. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  3. Hope you can stay dry! Weather here is weird. I thought winter had arrived (was hoping for rain) but instead we have jumped back up into the 90's for the entire week. RATS!!!
It never fails ... when you want to show off your workplace, something breaks down. At least you can get it fixed!!
